Rampage

As the hoard of demons swept through the city killing everyone and everything both Aeden and Mihael in their fused form faced the oncoming hoard without fear. They prepared spells and got ready to fight as the demons drew closer and closer to them. In the distance they could see their parents flying towards the crack in space while slicing demons apart left and right. They looked like two comets made of light and dark energies flying incredibly fast through the sky. They would reach the magic circle soon but the hordes of demons are slowing them down along with the defence functions of the magic circle keeping them at bay. 

Aeden and Mihael had to focus back on the demons as they approached them. The first demon to try to attack them looked like a small goblin. It was around 3ft tall weilding a small club in its hand. As it ran towards them trying to hit them they simply swung one of their swords slicing it in half. Then soon after a black and gold tendril of light shot out of their body and absorbed the goblin. They saw a little 1 in the corner of their vision from the system before soon fading away. It seems that when the system is in battle mode notifications are disabled. Also they realized that this was their first time killing something with their own hands and they didn't really feel anything from it. Maybe that was the system too. They couldn't think about it for long because more demons were coming closer. 

They kicked their feet off the ground and with a flap of their wings accelerated even faster towards the demons. They kept swinging their swords simply slashing through the demons they passed each kill getting absorbed quickly by them as they saw the number in their vision slowly ticking up. They grew excited at the prospect of getting a massive boost to their strength that they started killing even faster hacking and slashing through as many demons as they could. For the ones that were farther away they simply created arrows of different elements out of their mana and fired them off. The ground around them was strangely clean of all blood and corpses but they paid no mind to it as they kept slaughtering. Soon after they killed all of the small goblin demons around them as they could finally take a breather. Soon after some imp like demons came running up to them as they began the slaughter again. 

With a stomp on the ground they sent a pulse of mana through the earth shooting up spikes of earth through the hoard of demons impaling them before the earth spikes retracted back into the ground. Since their mana seemed to be combined together they were able to cast bigger spells. Their main mana cores seemed to have been fused together into one as even their souls combined into one. Their sub cores orbited around their main core producing a stronger mana flow than before. 

They put their two free hands together and concentrated a ball of water in between it before shooting the ball out above the hoard of demons. As the ball reached the sky above the hoard of demons it began shooting out spikes of water that froze into ice as they flew through the air. They began piercing the hoard of demons causing them to try to scatter as the ice spikes kept stabbing through more and more. The tendrils of energy spread out like a web out of Mihael and Aeden attaching to all of the corpses before getting absorbed and retracting into their bodies. The demons were trying to run away from them but they weren't going to let any of their prey go. They cast a spell raising a wall made of mana around the area sealing all of the demons in as they went through and killed every single one. Right after they finished killing every single demon around them they realized that the hoard of demons were gone. They began slowly walking back to their house as they saw their parents finally reaching close to the outside of the magic circle in the sky. Their parents set up a spell around the magic circle which sealed off the area so no more demons could come through. Sadly the kingdom was already overrun with demons and pretty much destroyed. They made sure to seal it off anyways so that way the demons couldn't spread out and destroy this world. 

Both Aeden and Mihael reached their home and right as they did they heard the system.

Right after they turned into a ball of light splitting into two. One colored gold and one colored ebony. They then were back to normal as they were exhausted. They quickly headed inside their house as they stumbled towards the closest door. They looked at each other and quickly felt the urge to throw up as the suppression of their feelings from the system finally ended. They felt disgusted as they quickly fell to their knees as they threw up everything in their system. They spent another 10 minutes gagging and hurling on the ground before they managed to stand up with shaky legs and quickly went to the kitchen to drink water and rinse out the taste of bile from their mouths. They managed to collect themselves before with shaky hands they took the keys off of their necklaces.

They twisted them together into one key as they felt a pulse of mana flow through the house. The key made the design of a partial solar eclipse. As they walked to the closest door which was the door to the library the joined their hands together and put the key into the lock. As they twisted it in the lock the door glowed and swung open revealing a room with a set of rings and a circle on the ground. There was also a note by the rings. They both walked into the room and before they could make it far they saw the key fly towards them. Aeden grabbed it and put it in his pocket. 

They first looked at the rings and the note. Mihael picked up the note and read it aloud. 

If you are reading this then what we never wanted to happen has come. We are going to have to leave you until you are able to ascend to the next realm which will require you to reach past the astral stage. We don't know how long that will take but we have left supplies to help you. The rings are a storage artifact which each contain a mana crystal at the astral stage. There is also food and water. Along with a lot of pills to boost your growth speed. When you two are ready put the key into the middle of the magic circle on the ground and it will teleport you away. We never wanted to leave you and every day away from you two will be agony but both of us know we will meet again in the future.

Mihael began to tear up as Aeden hugged him from behind. Soon after Mihael suppressed his emotions and both of them grabbed a ring each before walking towards the magic circle. 

In the middle of the circle they saw a small key hole on the ground so Aeden pulled it out and put it in. Aeden asked if Mihael was ready as he twisted the key in the ground. Suddenly the magic circle lit up as the house around them seemed to crumble and age. All of the magic of the house was sucked out leaving the house looking dilapidated and never lived in. Soon they were enveloped in a ball of light as they disappeared. 

Up in the sky as Usiel and Raziel were finishing sealing up the crack in space they felt the fluctuations of a strong spell being cast. They looked over towards where their house used to be seeing it looking dead and crumbling. Usiel began to cry as Raziel comforted her. They finished up sealing the rift before they began to be forcefully ejected from the planet. They crumbled into particles of light as a pathway opened in the sky. Their bodies disappeared flowing through the opened pathway before it completely sealed up leaving no trace of the family behind. The kingdom was only full of the dead as not a living thing was left alive.
