More Upgrades

After they got back from the summoning they were exhausted but happy. Aeden pulled out the corpses they received and used <Absorb > on them before saving the energy for later. Right after they went and crawled into bed exhausted.

When they woke up they completed their basic tasks before sitting down to meditate. They decided to aim for making more sub cores and upgrading their main core. Along with upgrading their sub cores to the peak of the yellow stage to max out their mana. 

Taking time to gather the ambient mana around them they began to condense it and make more sub cores in their body. They took it one by one and slowly made it to make sure they didn't make any mistakes forming the sub core. After a few hours they completed another sub core. They split their soul making sure the core became part of their body.

They kept making sub cores throughout the day making sure to take breaks in between sub cores to not damage their souls too much. They made an extra 5 sub cores reaching 8 sub cores in total. 

While they were on break they decided to take the mana in their sub cores and convert it into mana of a single element. Their main cores already had the seeds of divinity for creation and destruction which is similar to light and dark. So they made each sub core of a different element. They started with fire. Taking the mana in their first sub core and slowly converting it into fire mana they felt their bodies heating up the more they converted. After awhile they had to stop because the heat was getting too much for them to handle. 

After stopping they felt the heat slowly dissipating from their bodies. They decided to wait for it to go back to normal before moving on to the next step. 

After an hour of waiting and just taking time to relax they decided to move on to the next step. 

They accessed the system and used all of the energy left over in their <Absorb > skill to upgrade their main core. They took a lotus position and confirmed with the system what they wished to use it for. They felt the massive flow of mana begin as they grunted in pain. The surge of mana towards their main core hurt and it slowly began leaking out as their sub cores took the excess and used it to upgrade them. 

The mana veins in their body began to ache as the surge of mana upgraded their cores. They sat there for 5 hours trying to digest it all as they grunted in pain but it was worth it as their bodies grew stronger and their main core was upgraded to the peak of the green stage. They collapsed in exhaustion as their two animal companions came over and comforted them giving them licks and rubs before curling up on their chests as all of them passed out. 

When they woke up the looked at their status.

They got up and decided to also check on the progress of their animal companions noticing that they were mid way through the white stage. They also saw that all of their sub cores were at the yellow stage which was great. They could feel the massive amount of mana coursing through their bodies as they felt like they could cast massive spells with much more ease.
