A Look At The System

After Mihael blacked out everyone quickly rushed over to help him out. Raziel and Usiel began casting spells to heal and to inspect him to make sure he was okay. Aeden tried to help but there wasn't much he could do so instead he tried to use his special connection to talk to Mihael. Taking a meditative pose he shut his eyes and went into his mana realm. He tried used his soul to talk to Mihael's soul.

After a little while he managed to initiate a conversation.

Are you okay? Aeden asked sounding worried.

Yes I am okay, I don't really know what happened. I felt an overwhelming rage at seeing who was behind the demon cult and then it was like darkness poured out of every pore of my body before I blacked out. I should be waking up soon don't worry Aeden. Mihael said with a smile.

I am glad you are okay but I think we are going to have to get a lot stronger. I feel like we are going to need it to survive the coming days. 

After saying that Aeden went back to reality where he waited. Mihael woke up about 10 minutes later with no lasting effects from what had happened.

Their parents asked what happened to him and he explained who the man was.

He tried to kidnap me when the cult that kidnapped me was escaping. He is one of the reasons that the original cult fled and why I ended up here. I think he wanted to use me in a demon summoning ritual or something.

After talking about it for awhile Raziel and Usiel sent Aeden and Mihael to bed telling them not to worry about it and that they would take care of it.

Heading to their room both Aeden and Mihael decided to look at their status for the first time in awhile.

Looking at the status both Aeden and Mihael decided to get more sub cores and to rank them up as much as possible. That would give them more mana to use and increase the strength of their bodies. They also decided to use the system shop more to get more skills to help them out. They were given the system for a reason and they might as well finally use it. 

Both of them sat on the ground opposite of each other and began to craft another sub core. After experiencing it the first time they knew how to do it without much issue. Managing to craft the new core in just an hour they proceeded to cut a piece of their soul for the new core. Right after they heard the system activate.

Well looks like we did the right thing Aeden said. 

Yeah unlocking two new skills is useful. I wonder if we can upgrade skills by using them repeatedly or if we need to use the System Points. Mihael wondered.

I think both are available options but it would be easier to use SP since it is quicker but we will eventually use the skills enough to upgrade them. We probably should use mapping permanently from now on to see if it will upgrade. And since there are two of us it will be double the XP. Aeden said.

Well we can talk about it more tomorrow. For now let's go to bed Mihael said. I am tired and we have school tomorrow.
