Reaching the top.

As the son of Zioles, the strongest god that can use powers of all the elements, whether it's fire, lightning, water, or even the dendron element.

I am bound to reach the top, my potential is unlimited.

Even if my physical body is strong, it's basically in the top 10,000's of the heavenly rankings of the system based game.

The game was like a basement, growing down just like a living being, with each floor going down containing a big labryinth.

And smaller labyrinth's following the so called floors.

Players level up just like a game, go down to challenge the in grown tower.

The people gave it a name, the 'Basement to hell'.

If the floors weren't cleared in a month after the creation, it would cause an outbreak, this phenomenon is known as the breakdown.

Players chosen by the world to emerge as hunters gathered all around the game map.

With each floor cleared, a new plain is to be unlocked .

With the 39th floor cleared solo by a chest player named Kuramoto Katsuo, as he was a challenger that was not picked specifically by the System, he was the one that was known as a 'Bug' in the game.

His luck stat was reduced to -99, the developers wanted to clear this chest player from the game.

Even he, Kuramoto doesn't know how he entered the game.

While the developers were busy trying to eliminate this so called bug.

Kuramoto here,unaware of the current affairs was enjoying his new life.

His personality was more like a 'leave the past in the past, those who died, died.' deeming him the nickname of the 'Merciless Ranker'.

"Today is the day I change the game once and for all! Arena rankings!" Said I, as I took my first step into the Arena.

A set game mode that engages players into 1 versus 1 interactive battles. Players can use buffs from potions, basically a pay to win cheat code for rich players to step on the weak.

Blue pixels formed a huge colosseum and the two players that were about to engage in the fun game.

"Nice to meet you! I am Kuramoto Katsuo!"

"I am Mason Weller. Nice to meet you too."

A blonde man with a staff that had yellow laces tied in the middle, the top and the bottom for gripping it tight.

"I may seem like a staff fighter, but I am actually a mage." Said Mason.

"A mage that acts as a fighter? This will be fun!"

Mason starts casting spells that base on ATK boosts consuming the user's DEF stat and exchanging it for STR for a set period of time.

"You have basically 0 DEF, you casted 10 spells that work basically the same as the other one, Remove some buffs."

"I am sure of it, you can't damage me at all." He said confidently.

"Overconfidence pisses me off.." I touch the chest plate making the whole coat glow.

"This consumes my stamina very much, but it should be enough for you, overconfident bastard!"

I focus on the offence while Mason focuses on defence, if my sword reaches him even for 1 dull and rigid slash, he'd die.

I see an opening in his stance, the opening right behind his neck.

"Blink!" This teleports me a certain distance allowing me for a clean slash.

"Blink, huh?" Said Mason.

"BLINK!" Mason could also use this spell that was meant for a fighter.

While it was supposed to be found in a skill book, with enough dedication and a feeling of how skills work, you could use it yourself without buying any books.

"Wha!?" Mason appears behind me, thinking that he can defeat me, I switch to backhanded grip at a fast speed blocking the attack.

Mason looked at me with a grin, "I never was going for your neck from the starting!" He takes out a small daggar from his inventory and stabs me right in my back.

"Why you fucking..!" I use blink once more to move away from his area.

"I hope you didn't forget about my class!"

"AH!"

Mason raised his hands above him forming a huge fireballs enchanted with thunder and lightning around it. Mason looked like he was going to spam attack those fireballs, and as I thought.

He furiously launched all the fireballs to my direction.

"Oh gosh..! Feather steps!" This enables me to walk on any substance, even if it's a landmine.

I dodge the continuous flurry of the fireballs, switching to two handed grip to better secure the slash.

"You won't die just like that! Will you!?" I laughed as I used blink once again to teleport behind him.

"blink." Said Mason in a low voice as he teleports right behind me.

"Why won't you die!" He whispered into my ear, with a fireball that was hidden by him all along, he smashes it onto my back.

"Shit.... Shit shit shit!!" I said to convince him that I was almost dead.

"Blink!" I teleported behind him once again, this time dealing a fatal blow cutting him into two pieces and the blue pixels appeared once again removing his body.

"But how!? Blink can only be used 4 times!"

"I never used blink since the start, It's my own achievement. The game was against me, every skill I use.. it's something that I learnt by myself."

"Rest in piece, or maybe not.."

I clench my fist in anger as I recall my memories.

"I swear.. I swear I saw the same flower mark on brother Higashi's guild badge." I recalled.

"This time, I will be the one to finish him off, no matter what!" I promised to myself.

"Ranking increased!

4139-4002!"

"Congratulations!"

"Well, Maybe I should aim for the first place." I said, reassuring myself that I will win no matter the odds since I haven't went all out.

"I will reach the top no matter what."
