SORROW

We walked into the hospital that I had been discharged from yesterday.

"Lucy why are we here"

I asked, just who proposes in a hospital

"We're almost there" she said.

After some time we arrived at room.

When we opened the door, I saw that we were not the only ones here.

Natalia was sitting on a bench, she had her head facing downwards, like she was deep in thought.

Jake was by her side with a cast on his hands, he too had his face facing downwards.

"G-guys, is it over what did the doctor said" Lucy asked.

Jake raised his head looking at her, I could see that he had been crying.

"H-he didn't make it" Jake said

"W-what" Lucy fell to the floor crying

"What's happening, can someone tell me" I asked

"Chase a-adam is... D-dead" Jake said.

Now I see why the room was filled with sorrow, tragically, the lover boy had lost his life in an attempt to fight alongside his crush.

But I didn't see any reason why I should be sad, I barely know the guy.

But just to look like I was sharing their sorrows too, I staggered a bit and lost my balance, falling to the floor.

I didn't want to look like a psycho who didn't have an emotion.

*SNIFF* *SNIFF*

I wiped out a tear that I had tried to create, I could tell that I was a great actor.

After 30 minutes of shedding crocodile tears with the rest of the people in the room with me, I was getting tired of it.

"Guys we need to be strong... I know wherever he is he would want is to get stronger and not cry because of him" Jake said trying to cheer everyone.

"And by the way, it's getting late, we can't stay here forever" Jake added

"You're right jake" I said.

I also wanted to go home, I haven't had any rest since I got out of the gym, and I needed it.

"So let's just go back to our dorm and prepare for tomorrow" Jake said.

After the whole speech made by jake, we all left the room.

After I was done taking a shower, I took a look at myself in the mirror for a little while

"I'm so handsome... I'll like to see who'll resist my charms" I praised myself.

I walked over to my bed and fell on it.

"Haaa... It's been a long day... I feel sorry for him" I was talking about adam, he never got what he wanted and now he had to die, it was truly pitiful.

With that I closed my eyes.

The scene shifts to an office where two people were discussing something important

"Miss Tim, I would like if you could inform your class that the upcoming monster hunt has been cancelled till further notice" miss woods said

"Huh... But why" miss Tim asked

"You don't have to worry about that, tomorrow the principal will give his reasons" miss woods said leaving the room.

I was on my way to my class.

"Fuck I'm late".

After running for a while, I got to my class.

"You're late chase... Again!" miss Tim yelled.

"I'm sorry miss Tim" I tried to apologise

"Chase d-did you dye your hair... It looks... Never mind that come in and have your seat".

As I had thought, she wouldn't be able to resist my charms "thank goodness for this system or should I say skill" I thought.

Walking into my class, I noticed that my classmates were staring at me, most especially the other gender "they too can't resist my charms, hehehe...".

I took my seat on the second row and behind me was Jake, he still had his cast on.

There were five rows in this class.

Next to the window on the fifth row was seated Natalia, she was playing with her hair still with no expression on her face "what has that girl been through" I mumbled.

By the door on the first row was seated Lucy, I could tell that she was sneaking glances at me.

"As you all may know, our monster hunt expedition has been cancelled till further notice due to an unexpected attack by some assassins for unknowin reasons which tragically claimed the life of our own Adam jass...".

As expected the school was now on high alert because of the attack, and since two important people had been affected by it, the school won't take any chances

"Now I would like all of you to move to the hall for a brief speech by the principal" miss Tim dismissed us and left.

I stood up from my seat on my way to the first floor.

This school had numerous buildings and they were divided into different groups.

Ranging from the buildings for the third year students to the building for the sophomores down to the building for the freshmen to the staffs to the storage room then to the gymnasium and lastly the hall which was a large room for the gathering of the students and they were all given a name in order to prevent someone from loosing his way

Back on my class I was on my way out when I heard a very familiar voice

"Chase wait up"

I already knew who it was.

I turned around to face the owner of the voice.

"You always seem to forget me nowadays" Jake said

"Sorry man, I just have a lot on my head"

"I can see that, anyways let's go together".

While we were on our way to the first floor.

"Hey chase"Jake cally

"I spoke with Natalia earlier today and she said she wanted to speak with you in the library after the school time"

"Speak with me... But why, why me"

"That's what I've been meaning to ask you, maybe she's trying to confess" Jake teased

"Confess what, I have never talked to her personally"

"I don't blame her, now that you've been hitting the gym and you even dyed your hair, making you look more handsome it's enough for anyone to fall for you" Jake said

"Confess huh.... Hehehe, looks like it's my lucky day"
