judgment ch 22

{Feywild}

Gark watched in horror as his army was rendered helpless. He turned his gaze skyward, his fury palpable. "Who dares you followers of this false god?" he roared.

Aither his form surrounded by an aura of divine light that seemed to pulse with the rhythm of the cosmos. His expression was serene but resolute, his eyes glowing with an unearthly luminescence.

"Gark, King of Goblins," Aether's voice echoed with a celestial authority that silenced the goblin king's defiance. "First you denied my divine nature, that I can let pass; because You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. But in a fit of rage you try to attack me. Your disrespect will no longer be tolerated. Now, you shall face divine retribution."

"Gark, King of Goblins," Aether's voice echoed with a celestial authority that silenced the goblin king's defiance. "Your reign of terror and your disruption of the natural balance will no longer be tolerated. You have defied the order of the Feywild and brought suffering to its inhabitants. Now, you shall face divine retribution."

Gark snarled, his bravado faltering in the presence of the moon god. "You think you can judge me? I am the king of the goblins, you have now rights to!"

Aether, regarded Gark with an amused glint in his eyes. The air glow surrounding Aether seemed to shimmer with a touch of mirth, the stars above twinkling in harmony with his amusement. The goblin king's defiance struck Aether as almost pitiable, a child railing against forces far beyond his comprehension.

Aether's laughter filled the air, a sound like the chiming of distant celestial bells, pure and resonant. It echoed through the Feywild, making the goblins quiver in fear and confusion. "Oh, Gark," Aether said, his voice rich with a serene amusement. "You are indeed funny. You mistake your fleeting power for true authority."

Aether's expression grew more serious, though the smile never left his lips. "I do not think I can judge, Gark. I am the judge. My will is the guiding force of this realm, and it is the only will that matters. You, a mere king, are but a shadow in the presence of the divine."

Raising his hand, Aether allowed the beam of divine light to intensify, its radiance almost blinding. The divine light descended upon Gark, enveloping him in its purity. His screams of rage and pain were swallowed by the overwhelming power of Aether's judgment. The celestial light pierced through every dark corner of Gark's being, leaving no room for his malevolence to hide.

As the light receded, Gark was no more. Only a faint wisp of smoke remained, a testament to the might and authority of Aether. The Feywild began to return to its ethereal beauty, the colors and lights of the realm restoring themselves to their natural, harmonious state.

Aether looked down upon the remaining goblins, who were now free from their bonds but too stunned and terrified to move. His voice, though softer, still carried the weight of his divine authority. "Let this be a lesson to all you goblins: the divine will is absolute. Challenge it at your peril."

The remaining goblins, who had moments ago been ready to wreak havoc under Gark's command, now stood frozen, their eyes wide with awe and fear. Slowly, one by one, they began to kneel, their crude weapons clattering to the ground as they bowed their heads in respect.

The leader of the goblins, a grizzled warrior with scars crisscrossing his face, crawled forward on his knees, his eyes locked on Aether's radiant form. "Great Aether," he called out, his voice trembling, "we see now the power of the divine, the true authority. We offer ourselves to you, forsaking our fallen king. Let us serve you, that we may find favor in your light."

Aither looks toward the leader of the goblin warriors His expression was one of calm contemplation. But internally he was baffled.

'I just killed there king and now they want to follow me, why? '

[There are more then one way to command allegiants. Many god rule with fear but also kindness.]

"Your hearts have been shown the error of your ways, Gark led you into darkness, but the light of the moon reveals all shadows. If you truly seek redemption and wish to follow the path of balance and harmony, then I shall accept your pledge."

The goblins collectively bowed lower, their foreheads touching the ground in reverence. "We pledge ourselves to you, Aether, God of the Moon. Guide us, and we shall follow your will."

Aither looked to the corner of his eye and saw a notifications from the systems.
