"Where am I?" Daniel looked around observing his surroundings and found that he was in a forest.

"Dang, I managed to survive the bandits... But at what cost?" He groaned in pain holding his side, he looked down at his tattered clothes and broken Armour. "Who knew a simple rare grade quest could go that wrong?" He felt regretful after accepting the quest from the blacksmith at the City.

"Well, there is no point in complaining now... What's done is done, I can't do anything about it now." He quickly got up from the ground and scanned the surroundings for any threats. "Who knows if the bandits are still searching for me…" He had to be cautious just in case the bandits were still after him. "That's it! I have to hurry and hide again!" He came up with the only choice he had at the moment.

As soon as he prepared to find a good hiding spot, he heard a rustling sound from the bushes. "Huh?!" He whipped around and moved closer to the bush, keeping on guard. 'What could possibly be here?' He wondered. He crouched down and looked inside the bushes, finding a charming red fox lying on the ground.

It was severely wounded, its body covered in blood. The fox was a cute little creature with unparalleled charm. "Huh? Why is a red fox here?" Daniel pondered before getting closer to the fox. "It's so lovely! I wonder why it's so injured?" Daniel decided to help the little fox because he was captivated by the charm of the little fox.

"Here, drink this potion." He took out a healing potion and poured it on his hand. He moved his hand closer to the fox's mouth extending his pointer finger , feeding the potion to the fox. The fox slowly opened its mouth and licked the potion little by little before completely devouring it. After a few seconds, Daniel noticed something weird happening to the fox.

"What is happening here?!" He stepped back after seeing a bright golden aura covering the fox. He had never seen this type of event occuring in the game. "Perhaps... Could this be a hidden event?" He suddenly felt a chill down his spine.. A hidden event was a jackpot event! Anyone who encounters a hidden event is fated to become successful.

Even the top rankers only made it to the leaderboards because they had encountered a hidden event in the starting days of the game. Soon, Daniel witnessed an event that was going to change the entire game and its players. Something that was never seen even by experts was occurring right in front of him. "W-what is...?!" Danile became cautious after the golden light around the fox started glowing brighter and brighter.

"I have to keep on my guard." He was ready for anything that was about to come at him. As time passed, his heartbeat grew faster and faster. Soon, the golden light started dispersing. The bright aura enveloping the little fox was not there anymore. The fox was fully healed and she was playing joyfully. Daniel was in a daze. His whole body was trembling after what he witnessed.

A beautiful lady floated in the air covered in a gold and black cloth she was emitting divinity. She was so beautiful that even role models paled in comparison. She was someone with a beauty that far surpassed even elves. Daniel could only describe her dazzling presence in one word. "A- a Goddess!" He could only think of her as a goddess because such beauty and charm was beyond the limits of any other race.

He looked in her golden eyes, her gaze sent chills down his spine. It was the mighty presence of a goddess! The concept of gods was revealed in Divine Path as soon as it was released in the market. Divine Path had countless gods. Gods also had rankings but they were not players. They were NPCs with unfathomable powers.

Their myths and legends were known throughout the world. Everyone around the world had a certain god they wished to follow and worship. The one standing in front of Daniel was undoubtedly... ("The Goddess of luck!") Daniel screamed inside his mind. He was stuck in a place, he couldn't lift even a finger.

"Human, you have done a holy deed by saving my divine fragment which was lost a long time ago. To show my gratitude, I shall give you a reward that you're worthy of." The Goddess spoke. Her voice was melodious and pleasing to the ears. She was like an angel which was perfect in every aspect. Daniel couldn't help keeping his eyes off her. She was someone who was praised and worshipped by countless people, and he was facing her right now.

"I-I saved your divine fragment?! What do you mean by that?" Daniel could barely speak as he kept stuttering. His posture became rigid in face of such divinity it was suffocating.

"Yes, you saved my divine fragment which was born in the form of a fox." The goddess slowly pointed at the cute little fox.

"T-this fox is your divine fragment?!" Daniel exclaimed, pointing at the fox incredulously. He was confused and nervous at the moment.

"Yes, this fox is my divine fragment, it is a part of my soul. It was unfortunately lost a long time ago, during the war of Heaven and Hell." The goddess made a saddened expression before turning her head to the fox. "This shall be your reward. Now that I am reunited with the divine fragment, I can keep it secure from dangers anytime and anywhere. I can't interfere with the mortal world for too long, so I will have to go. Keep this divine fragment close to you with utmost care!" She suddenly started fading away and smiled at Daniel. Her form shattered and fragmented into the void.

"What just happened?!" Daniel was stunned after seeing the notification panels.

The series of messages drove Daniel crazy. He was flabbergasted by everything that was happening. "A-am I dreaming!!!?" He pinched his cheeks only to find out that this wasn't a dream. "This is real!?" He kneeled on the ground and kept staring at the messages. "I'm the luckiest person in the world!" He felt like screaming it out loud but he was aware of the fact that he was in a forest.

"I need to calm down... Let's check out the details first." He calmed his breath down before checking all the details. A pet window popped up in front of his eyes. It had 3 slots and one was already filled. The red fox and its details were displayed on clicking it.

He understood the game. So far, players had only discovered 4 ranks, which were Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic. But no one had ever heard of anything above the Epic rank.

This fox was beyond the imagination of any Divine Path player alive. Daniel immediately understood that in order to keep his future secure, he had to keep this information secret. As he was lost in his thoughts, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him.

"Shit! The bandits are here!" He hurriedly ran away, hiding behind a large tree, carrying the cute little fox with him.

"Find him! I won't let him live!" The bandit leader roared in anger, commanding his underlings to hurry up and search for Daniel.
