As Mirabel talked, Jorge couldn't help but start to get overwhelmed with fierce emotions. He could see the care she had for him. She had taken the initiative to find out about the things that he could not bring himself to talk about.
That made him embarrassed at a subconscious level. She was saying all the words that his heart wanted to hear. It was as if she had listened to his heart ask specific questions, and she answered every one of them just the way he wanted. Even he did not know how much those words felt until he could feel a calmness seep into his soul, and then he thought, 'What did I do to deserve this woman?'
It also made him feel a little bad, especially when he had brought the Wanky's into the conversation. Deep down, he felt a bit uneasy about that whole family. Mirabel had a child with the man! Even though Jorge had her as his wife, that did not mean that their past would be erased. He had even felt that she was protecting them in a way.
