"Why are you stupid mongrels trying to reason with him? Just capture him and add him to the collection. One less work for us," the boss lady ordered.
After the command, the previously bewildered crowd turned to Max with grins.
"Brat, surrender like a good kid, and we won't hurt you. What do you say?" said one, who seemed to be Kaira's right-hand man.
"Oh... since you said that, I'll also say something," Max replied.
"What?" the right-hand man asked.
"Even if you surrender, I won't let you go easily," Max said with a murderous look.
This sent chills down the spines of the onlookers, who now questioned whether they were really facing just a teenage kid.
Seeing the fear in her minions, Kaira smacked the back of one of their heads and snapped, "What the hell are you standing around for? Capture him now! Make sure the damages are minimal. Good quality goods sell for good money," she added with an evil smile.
At her command, everyone rushed toward Max.
With swift movements, he began to beat them one by one, avoiding every attack like he was dancing. In a matter of minutes, half of them were unconscious.
This sent more shivers through their spines. Realizing this was getting out of hand, Kaira was the first to snap out of it.
"I don't care anymore. Just kill him, you useless bastards," she said, anger and helplessness in her voice.
Hearing this, everyone drew their weapons: metal pipes, bats, chains, and knives.
Seeing them finally armed, Max said, "Finally... that's what I'm talking about. I'm getting excited. Come on, guys, do your best. I expect so much from you. don't let me down"
Ignoring his enthusiasm, they attacked all at once. But even with weapons, they couldn't touch a hair on his head. This made the right-hand man worried. He pulled out a pistol from his back and aimed at Max.
As the fight continued, Max noticed the gun aimed at him but kept beating the others as if he didn't see it.
When the right-hand man pulled the trigger, Max dodged the bullets with ease. He caught one of the attackers by the neck and tossed him towards the right-hand man. The unexpected impact caused both to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.
Seeing this, Kaira gritted her teeth in anger. She didn't expect this outcome. Desperate, she grabbed the pistol from her right-hand man and took aim, only to see Max standing alone, smiling beneath his mask.
"It seems the boss finally decided to take action, but what to do? It's too late," Max said, spreading his arms wide like Jesus.
Before she could pull the trigger, Max launched forward and landed a punch in her stomach, sending her flying a few meters. She was also unconscious. No one was left standing except Max, who marveled at his handiwork with satisfaction.
"It's really hard to control my strength so that I do not kill them by accident. After all, they have to pay for their deeds," he thought with a dark smile. "Oh God, please show them the right way. Hallelujah," he said, mimicking a church pastor.
