A Simple Day in Ponyville.

//Call me lazy, but I found a pretty good wuxia novel and didn't write anything for the last five days XD. But you know how it is with with those eastern novels and their 100000 chapters XD//

//This chapter and the next are focused mostly on spike and the CMC but don't worry as it's not going to be a regular happenstance.XD I just wanted to write how they met and they would be later mentioned every now and then as a humourous interlude if you catch my drift XD //

It was already Friday and Starfall decided to visit Whooves. They struck a pretty good relationship on Pinkies welcome party, and he wanted to continue their discussion about technological solutions to magic problems and vice versa.

Despite the fact that Starfall was very much a magic enthusiast, that didn't mean he completely ignored technology. On the contrary, thanks to his previous life's knowledge, the fact that he used to study science focused subjects and his studies in Equestria, he was very much capable of keeping up with the Pony scientist's convoluted explanations.

When he knocked on the doors oh his house, Starfall was instantly met with an overexcited brown Stallion.

"Ah! Starfall! So good to see you! Come in, Come in!" Exclaimed Dr. Whooves as he led him inside his workshop/house...

"Hey, Hooves. I came for that tea you promised me at the party." Said Starfall in a joking tone at which the other stallion laughed and replied.

"Blimey! And you arrive with a perfect timing my friend. I was just about to pour myself a cup!"

They sat together in the living room and soon were engaged in a deep conversation about Time, magic and mechanics...

__________

Twilight was sitting in a hammock on the balcony enjoying a quiet moment and reading one of Starfall's old Journals.

She really enjoyed the way in which he wrote them.

It was such a mysterious yet official looking style, which made it just an enjoyable experience to skim through.

Starfall told her that he wrote it like so intentionally, as he felt that it would be cool at that time, and she had to give it to him, he was right!

This particular Journal contained many different magical artifacts, their descriptions, possible effects and functions and potential usage.

Her thoughts went to that one artifact called the Grogar's Bell. It was really an amazing yet scary object, and she was glad that it was hidden away.

Then there was this thing called Time Twirler or the Amulet of Alicorn. She'd love to study either of them but the warnings around the Amulet of Alicorn made her wary of this one. She would most likely ask Starfall for help with it if she were to ever come by this one...not that she had much chance to find it. She wouldn't go out of her way to look for it and It's not like it would just come to her by itself...

She thought about sending Princess Celestia a letter. Yesterday she got the reply from her friends in Canterlot and had a fun time reading about Twinkleshine's recent cooking blunder.

The Mare accidentally turned on the blender without closing it properly and her entire kitchen ended up covered in minced carrots...

Twilight remembered her new Friendships and related to them magic. She was already planning on sending Celestia letters about her regular studies that she was still continuing, but Twilight realized that this was also something of an assignment.

//They didn't move to Ponyville because of Celestia's idea of Twilight studying the Magic of Friendship there, but rather because of Starfall's idea on being in close proximity to the Elements holders and the Elements of Harmony themselves. Celestia gave Twilight the idea of studying the Magic of Friendship in passing later, when they were chatting about random stuff, and Twilight just realized that she should update the princess about her progress from time to time.//

'Id have to send everyone more letters... Sigh... It's hard to have friends so far from each other...Good thing Starfall can teleport me around easily, so that we could visit them wherever we want...' She thought with a small smile.

As Spike was walking down the street after buying a set of quills for Twilight, he noticed a certain Rainbow coloured pegasus doing barrel rolls above the park.

He decided to go and say hello to the Mare, as he considered her a rather cool Pony to be around and he hoped that they could become friends. After all she was already friends with Twilight and Starfall and just because he wasn't there when Nightmare Moon attacked, he missed all the socializing part of the Adventure that everyone had with each other...

He arrived under the location and watched as Rainbow trained to supposedly become a Wonderbolt.

She was really good he had to admit. Of the few performances he saw of the Pegasi group in Canterlot, she could easily reach their level...at least in speed...She still lacked a bit of the coordination needed to act in a group formation, but she was an excellent flyer nonetheless and it was a pleasure to watch her.

"Wow, she's Pretty Cool!" He muttered only to be surprised by someone replying to his words.

"I know, Right! Rainbow Dash is the best! She's the coolest and most awesomest pegasus ever!" Exclaimed an orange filly with a moderate cerise Mane and a safety helmet on her head. She was standing on a scooter but she was clearly more interested on the view above them than riding it at the moment.

Then her eyes opened wide in surprise.

"Whoa! Wait! Aren't you a Dragon?!" She asked surprised realizing the identity of the person she spoke to.

"Well...Yes...Spike the dragon at your service!" He introduced himself with an exaggerated bow making the filly giggle.

"Sorry *giggle* I'm Scootaloo! It's really nice to meet you Spike! I didn't know that there were dragons in Ponyville." She said as she shook his claw with her hoof in greetings.

Spike told her about him moving to Ponyville recently and how his caretakers were the one's who took care of Nightmare Moon together with Rainbow Dash and the others.

"Woah! So they are all like super heroes now? Awesome! I didn't know that! Then...Then Rainbow Is now even cooler than before!!!" She Exclaimed as her breathing increased in speed from overexcitement.

"Haha! Relax Scoot! They are all just Ponies like us...Well...like you at least." He laughed awkwardly "What I'm trying to say is that we can all be awesome if we just try." He smiled at her and she smiled back.

His eyes landed on her scooter and he grinned. "I see that you can ride a scooter! That's also pretty cool, you know? do you think you could teach me?" He asked the filly hopefully and her eyes suddenly lit up in excitement as she grabbed spike and led him to the nearby skatepark.

They had a lot of fun together as Scootaloo taught Spike how to ride her scooter and laughed good-naturedly whenever he fell off.

They continued to chat in the meantime and Spike offered to introduce Scootaloo to Rainbow Dash when he had an occasion.

The filly was so happy that she hugged the dragon with all her might and almost made them fall of the ramp as he was standing on her scooter at that time...

Then it was time for a discussion about how awesome Rainbow Dash was, which was mostly Scootaloo talking and Spike listening, but Spike couldn't help but enjoy the time that he spend with the orange Pony.

They promised to meet each other later and exchanged their addresses.

Scootaloo was very amazed when Spike showed her his magical mail ability and she made him promise to send her a letter in the evening to scare her Aunt.

Then they finally separated as Spike returned back to the Golden Oak Library to give Twilight her quills...

___________

Scootaloo was very happy today as she was driving through the streets of Ponyville.

She just met a very awesome new friend!... And he was a Dragon to hoof! How cool is that?!

She had a lot of fun spending time with Spike and teaching him the sacred technique of scooter driving, and she enjoyed their little talks and interactions.

Spike was really fun to be around and had a lot of interesting stories about Canterlot and his family. But what was the most important other than his liking of Rainbow Dash was...He liked Power Ponies!

Scootaloo couldn't help put squeal in happiness for finding such an awesome new friend.

'I cant wait to see him again!' She thought with a slight blush...

Apple Bloom was really bored...

She just spend half of her day helping her sister carry baskets around the orchard and she wanted to be anywhere but here...

"Applejack! Please! Can we finish for today? We already covered the entire northern segment!" Moaned the little filly as she set up the last basket under it's respective apple tree.

"Nah Sugar Cube! Ah' promised Big Mac tah be done before the weekend. He wants ta make some renovations in the shed before we bring in the apples and those baskets would only stand in tah way." Explained the orange mare patiently as she proceeded with strapping on the cart.

She didn't tell her sister that she wanted her weekend free so that she could visit her friends in the evening...

"But I'm so booored! Couldn't you ask this unicorn coltfriend of your's to help us? What was his name? Starfall Blueballs? I'm sure he'd happily-" Inquired Apple Bloom.

"No!" Applejack interjected suddenly before realizing her outburst and quickly correcting herself with a blush. "Ah' mean...I'm sure he's mighta busy... wouldn't wanna bother him...And he's not mah' coltfriend!" She blushed before steeling her expression. "Don't forget that we're Apples, sister! We can take care of this little work with our own hooves! Now Hoof me that basket will ya?" She said and Apple Bloom couldn't help but groan and plant her face on the ground as she pushed the basket towards her sister.

This was going to be a really long day for the little filly...
