Diary of a Teenage Alpha

Big-hearted and witty, Samantha Kingsley is the Alpha's daughter who grew up learning to meet everyone's expectations. But Samantha isn't a pup anymore, she's in high school now, and is just about to discover that her life is written by her choices. Not by dreams, or prophecies, or even the moon goddess. This girl is going to protect the happiness of her pack and everyone she loves. Read her diary here. Updated every night. Mon-Sat Volume Synopsis VOL 1 It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog? VOL 2 I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't. VOL 3 I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret. VOL 4 My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. VOL 5 It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.) VOL 6 It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day? VOL 7 Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams. VOL 8 It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow. VOL 9 Its the last week of school and the exams are over. Its like for better or worse, all the big bad things are over now. At home, My pack works to clean up the aftermath of the rogue war, the warlock's defeat, and Jude's betrayal. In school, everyone treats me more or less the same... like a freak. Meanwhile, our school play is in dire straights, and as the Last Hurrah's debut draws near, I get ready to say good bye to Winderhill for good. VOL 10 We follow Dad to the past to stop the traitor (AKA Jude), from ever stepping into our Packlands. It would've been a good plan too - if it didn't change EVERYTHING. Now, I can't help but feel my life is ruined. Nobody understands me. Is it selfish of me to wish none of this ever happened? Why does my world have to be so magical?

MY FATHER'S DAUGHTER

21 FEBRUARY, SUNDAY, STILL MORNING

It got rather chaotic after the second chair flew across the stage. This would've been a good time to leave.

Henry got mad at the chaos that had erupted at his press conference and flipped the table, "F*** it."

He turned to our table, "What the hell, Sam? You couldn't keep your betas in line for an hour?"

What? Me?

"F*** off, Hen." Bell growled warningly, "Mine."

Oh, I loved it when he did that growly thing! ~❤️

(Gah! I can't keep letting Mate distract me like that! Get your head in the game, Sam!)

But now, Bell and Henry were in a face off, and were both asserting dominance.

"In that case, keep your mate's betas in line." Henry suddenly leaned sideways and pointed at my Betas, "Don't think I didn't know you guys did that on purpose!"

"With all due respect, Alpha." Harvey intoned with a polite bow, "They started it."

"Yeah, come on, Alpha. They were mud slinging at Sam - and you too." Ben flashed his charming smile - the one he used on Mrs Beta whenever he was trying to get himself out of trouble.

"On the bright side, your press conference would be an absolute hit on prime news tonight." Ki beamed.

"You're welcomed." Ben added with a grin.

"Grrrr... What the hell!" But Henry's initial anger was diffused just like that, "You guys owe me for this."

Bell smirked, "And you were trying to poach them over, for how much?"

Henry shook his head now, "No thanks. You can keep them. I don't want to be responsible for those three."

Henry seemed to have a bad habit of poaching other people's betas.

"You know Henry, if you can buy them over, they won't be worth anything. The beta's worth is in his loyalty." I informed him.

"And also his ability to not instigate a full blown alpha brawl at a press conference." Henry snapped back, "I still can't believe you guys did that!"

At this moment a stray chair flew over, which I immediately knew was dangerous - not in itself. My experience so far would be that the chair was really far less harmful than being bodypiled by three over protective betas who were very likely to body slam into me to push me out of the way.

So my hair immediately reacted - before my betas could. I had meant to swipe the chair away, but then realized at the last micro second that it would send the chair straight at Bell. That thought alone caused my hair to zing metallic and the conference chair was cleanly sliced in half.

And with it, Boo surfaced. {Ready or not, here I come!}

Oh boy, so much for being a secret weapon. I highly doubt Boo understood the concept of stealth. Sneaking around and lying low were such unalpha traits.

Boo rose up and nuked alpha dominance. It was a complete, sudden, and uncontrolled wave of power. Oh yeah, I've still got it.

The hall went still, the only thing still moving was my hair that krackened with the release of alpha dominance. Just for a second, I felt like if I had commanded "sit", all the wolves, even the alphas would have sat on the floor.

Oh yeah, I was A MONSTER.

I grinned at their shocked expressions. Right, Boo still had an axe to grind with these fools. Walking over casually to the first alpha, I said, "Do I look incapable to you?"

He gave me the satisfaction of shaking his head silently.

I made my way over to terrorize the second alpha with my presence, you know, to freak him out a bit, just a little, because Boo was mean that way, "I don't keep my betas on a leash. I run with wild wolves, not pet dogs."

Then I strolled over to where Henry, Bell, and my betas stood, and turned back to announce, "If any of you are unhappy with me, then fight me straight on."

I surveyed the wolves still there. It seemed a number of them had long slipped away. The ones left was not worth my time, they immediately looked down so as not to meet my eyes.

"No takers?" I asked lightly. I had no idea it was so fun to terrify other alphas. Hahaha.

"Those who dare not fight me, are not worthy to say my name." I shrugged.

{All rubbish.} Boo complained, {They bowed as quickly as an omega.}

"Let's go." I decided, "We've wasted enough time here."

I walked out with Bell and my Betas close at heel. Henry and Beta Peter quickly caught up.

We met Alpha George and Alpha James who were talking outside. They turned in .

"What? The fight's over? That was fast!" Alpha George asked.

Henry waved it off, "Nah, we left the party early."

"Please excuse us, Alphas. Our Alpha Princess has to rush to her next appointment." Ki smiled and made a polite bow on my behalf.

Alpha George waved us off, "Well, that's fine. You young ones run along. Leave the clean up to these old dogs."

I don't think Alpha James liked being called an old dog, but he only nodded and turned to his son, "You take your princess home first. I'll see you back home by lunchtime."

"You don't have to tell me, old man." Bell growled, "I can take care of my own princess."

"You?" Alpha James flared now, "You can't even take care of yourself!"

But then he realized Alpha George was there and laughed, "That boy! He'll be the Lorent alpha next month and he still does whatever he pleases!"

Alpha George laughed and slapped Alpha James heartily on the back, "Young people! The moment they have their first shift, they think they know everything! Well, I say let them run! At worst case they run home with their tails between their legs and we go clean up their mess. Whoever knew parenting was such expensive business?"

When we got back to the suite, I announced to my parents, "Be glad you only had girls. I'm starting to think all boy-pups grow up to be a pain in their parent's neck."

And then I noticed Dad's arm in a sling, "Dad? What happened?"

Immediately Ki and Bell went to see to him.

"Oh this?" Dad acted like he only just noticed his arm was broken when a glowing Ki removed the sling, "This is nothing. Lucas is in far worse shape."

"What?" Ben mouthed soundlessly.

"He's in his room. I would appreciate if you and Ki could check on him for me, son." Dad said.

Bell nodded. They straightened from the couch where Dad sat. Ki folded up the discarded sling and Dad stretched his arm.

"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Bell asked.

"No. The rest of it had healed up on its own." Dad said. omo What rest of it?

"Then we're done here. Drink more fluids and sleep off the remnant heal to maximize its effects." Bell advised.

"Please excuse us, Alpha." Ki put the discarded sling onto the side table and politely bowed.

Bell nodded briefly, "We'll see to Lucas. My car would be returning with you to night leaf later. May I drive my princess?"

"Good, good. Thank you." Dad nodded.

Yay! I was going home with Bell! ~ ❤️

Ki and Bell left with Ben to check on Beta Lucas.

Harvey hesitated, and then he asked, "Other than this, did your meeting go as planned, Alpha?"

Dad nodded, "Yes. Is Gerald asking? Tell him yes. Lucas would probably fill him in on the details later."

Harvey nodded a bow, "Will do."

Then Harvey asked, "Is there anything else I may do for you, Alpha?"

Who me? I realized everyone had turned to me. Right, Harvey was my beta. I shook my head, "Its all good. Are we going home now?"

"Within the hour, Alpha." Harvey promised, "Apologies, we are running late."

Yeah, back home, they'll be having Breakfast with the Alpha without the Alpha right now. I nodded. And Harvey bowed his departure.

Dad straightened and bent his arm a few more times, "Good as new!"

Mum was not impressed and Dad wisely retreated, "I ah, I better go take a shower. We'll be leaving soon."

Oh right! Me too!

I was just about to leave as well when Mum sighed, "Sam, you must always remember, you can't change your mate, but you can change yourself."

Eh? Why would I want to change anything about Mate? He's perfect! ~ ❤️

I shook my head to clear it, and then I realized Mum was staring at the door Dad had disappeared behind.

"I don't understand it." Mum sighed, "They are grown alpha wolves - why can't they just sit down calmly and talk things out?"

Oh, Mum was talking about Dad. Hahaha.

"Well, sometimes its just more effective to release the kraken and settle it once and for all." I tried to explain on Dad's behalf.

"Oh Sam! No you didn't!" Mum gasped.

Oh right! The TV wasn't on. They didn't know... but Ki said it would be Prime News tonight so they would find out by the end of the day, "Ah... look Mum, technically, I didn't fight. AND whatever you see on TV, just know that they were the ones who started it."

Mum sank on the sofa and face palmed.

So I sat down next to her and patted her on the back, "Don't worry, Mum. Dad's tough."

"It's you that I'm most worried about!" Mum exclaimed.

"Well, you're in luck! Cos I'm invincible!" I boasted.

"Oh, Sam. No one is invincible." Mum sighed. She reached out for a lock of my hair and ran her hand down it, "And no matter how strong you are, you are still just a girl. You need to take care of yourself better."

I blinked, "Why?"

Mum sighed, "Oh, Sam. Never mind."

She leaned forward suddenly and pressed a kiss on the side of my head, "You're really your father's daughter."

I immediately took it as a compliment and felt pleased.

"Yeah." I nodded, "I'm tough too."
