Chapter 45

Elden walked out the portal and looked at everyone with a smile.

" Holy shit! That's a lot of gold! " Elden exclaimed as he looked at the piles of gold.

" I know right!! " Mark said in pure bliss.

" Mark. Make sure to count as accurately as possible. Take time to recount if you need to." Elden said seriously.

" Roger. " Mark said excitedly. Mars, Fana, and Rachael sighed as this was normal. Everyone else was confused by their behavior.

' This is their squad leader?!! ' They thought.

Elden nodded at Mark before raising his hand.

* snap *

Elden snapped his fingers.

Yuno, Asta, Noelle, Mimosa, Klaus, and Luck had their eyes widened as they looked around the empty room.

It happened in an instant.

The moment Elden snapped his fingers all the gold in the room vanished without a trace.

Sylph who was watching had her eyes widened before she had a nervous expression on her face.

' He is a monster. ' She thought as she looked at Elden.

" Anyway, how was the dungeon? " Elden asked as he turned to Fana.

" It was pretty good. These guys made it much interesting though. " Fana said as she pointed at the black bulls and golden dawn mages.

" That's good. " Elden said as he turned his attention toward them.

" So what are your names? " He asked.

" Asta. "

" Yuno. "

" Luck. "

" Klaus. "

" Noelle. "

" Mimosa. "

" Pleasure to meet you. Names Elden. " Elden said.

" Also you. " Elden said as he pointed at Asta.

" Me? " Asta said as he pointed at himself.

" Yes, you. Why can't I sense magic from you? " Elden asked as he went towards Asta with a curious look.

" Oh I was born without magic but I can use these swords instead. " Asta said as he brought out 2 swords from his grimoire.

" Hmm, one is rusty while the other is intact. What can they do? " Elden asked feigning ignorance.

" They are anti-magic swords. " Mars stated.

Elden slowly turned his head towards him.

" For real? "

" For real. "

Elden turned his attention back to Asta.

"That's so cool!! Quick question, what's your goal? "

" My goal is to become the wizard king!! " Asta yelled.

" Haha.. " Elden laughed.

" No wonder Yami would choose you for his squad. He wouldn't choose anyone boring to join him. Antimagic and wants to become the wizard king. That takes guts. " Elden said as he looked at Asta.

" Good luck kid. "

" Thank you!! " Asta yelled before he stopped.

" Wait you know captain Yami! How?!! "

" Oh, we go way back. You can ask him. Tell him I said hello. " Elden said as he walked away from them.

" Pleasure to meet you guys and while having more questions, I have work to do. If we meet again, we can talk then. Till then try not to die. Good luck. " Elden said with a thumbs up.

He opened a portal and walked through. Fana, Mars, Mark, and Rachael walked through as well after they said their goodbyes.

" Yo back already. How did it go? " Yami asked as he watched the trio walk into the base.

" It was fun! " Luck said.

" We also meet mages from the Diamond kingdom as well. I fought one of them. " Luck said with a smile.

" Seriously! Did you win? " Yami asked enthusiastically.

" Nope. I got my ass kicked. " Luck said still smiling.

" I see. Why are you 2 so quiet? " Yami asked a she looked at Noelle and Asta.

" Captain, do you know a guy named Elden? " Asta asked.

Yami stood up and stood in front of Asta and grabbed him by the head.

" Owowowowowo.. Captain why are you squeezing my head?!! " Asta yelled.

" Did he have purple eyes, wearing a black hoodie, and act non-chalont the entire time? " Yami asked.

" Yes. " Noelle said a bit fearful of Yami.

" Okay good. Then that was actually him. " Yami said as he let go of Asta.

" Gah!! " Asta said as he landed on the ground.

" Captain, why did you have to squeeze his head though? " Noelle asked.

" Reflex. I wanted to have a rematch with that bastard for so long but he hasn't been answering any of the letters I sent him! " Yami said as he slammed his fist into the base.

* boom *

The wall broke down as a giant hole took its place.

" What, you fought with him? Who is he? " Asta asked.

" Oh, that will take some time to explain. Gather everyone to the hall. I form want to repeat myself. " Yami said.

" Ehhh???!! " Asta and Magna yelled a study looked at Yami.

" So he fought with you and you won, but why request a rematch?!! " Magna asked.

" Simple. He was 15 when he fought with me the first time and we didn't use magic. Didn't I already tell you this?!! " Yami yelled.

" No, you didn't!! " Asta yelled.

" What did you say?!! " Yami asked calmly.

" You already mentioned that Captain! " Asta said.

" He didn't say it directly. He just mentioned the dates. We never knew his age until now. " Noelle muttered as she sighed.

" What so who would win? Elden or Yami? " Luck asked.

" Of course it would be captain Yami!! " Magna yelled.

" Not sure. " Yami said. Everyone turned to look at him.

" The problem is the fact I haven't seen him in so long. That bastard must have improved a ton. After all, he is the Diamond kingdom's king. " Yami said.

Silence rained over the base as everyone processed what he just said.

" What???!!! " Everyone yelled.

" You mean we meet the king of the Diamond kingdom today!! " Asta yelled.

" Yes. Didn't you hear a word I said so far? " Yami asked.

" Guess I have to make a check-up to get your ears cleaned as well. " Yami said.

" I do not need my ears cleaned!! " Asta yelled.

The others however watched this exchange with smiles on their faces however Yamis's words still lingered in the back of their minds.

" Antimagic and a four-leaf clover. " Fox said in surprise.

" Yep. I got most of the information from Mars when they fought with them. They have a lot of potential. " Elden said as kept doing his paperwork.

" I see. The clover kingdom will be getting some powerful mages in the future. But you do know that you being there will cause problems. " Fox said as she stared at Elden.

" Yep, I know. Julius will probably send me a letter however I don't know what it will be about. " Elden said as he leaned back in his chair.

'Well, that and the fact that plot went as normal. Yuno got the wind spirit as Fana mentioned while Asta got his sword. So far things are normal. It now depends on what Julius decides to do. ' Elden thought.

" Well no matter, I'll deal with it when it comes up. Imma head out to get some food. You coming. " Elden asked.

" It's food. Of course, I'm coming. " Fox said with a smile.
