She jolted awake from her deep slumber when heard a distant roar coming from outside the castle, piercing the mist of night. Her silver eyes were wide open and lips parted to let out a shrill scream of horror but Gayatri immediately cups her mouth and shakes her head slowly.

/"You need to stay calm, darling. Your father has gone out to deal with an uninvited guest./" Grandma Gayatri instructed before slowly removing her hand and kissing the little girl’s forehead. Devi nodded with a troubled frown and gulps nervously as she scans her surroundings. She was no more in her chambers but was snuggled in the warmth of thick covers of Grandma Gayatri. Shakti and Rudra were laid beside her, and Shakti’s mother was pacing in front of the fireplace. Anxiety rolls from her figure in tons and fingers fiddle with the sleeves of a long nightgown with anticipation.
