Jane

XX July 2022, TB high school. The sky was gloomy and thunder rumbled. During lunch period, Two girls walked up the stairs to their classroom chatting.

Bell said, "Wow. The sky looks so dark. Why do they have to keep school today?"

Jane said, " It looks like a storm will be coming up today ! It's nice weather to sleep not study ! "

The sky was filled with faint rays of light escaping from those heavy dark clouds. It started to drizzle. Students began to pop out of their classes leaving their lunch behind in amazement at the scenery. Bella started to sing a rain song. Jane giggled and started to dance to it while climbing up the stairs looking at Bella who was behind her. When Jane turned to look in front, she made eye contact with a junior boy playing in the rain. He was looking at her with eyes of admiration. Jane felt embarrassed and tried to run backward, but ended up bumping into Bella.

Bella smirked saying "Love, Your desire to hug is increasing day by day. I am hungry, come let's go!". 

Bella dragged Jane forward. When Jane looked forward he was still looking at her with a warm smile. Jane blushed and hid behind Bella while passing him. 

In the classroom during math period, Bella screamed, "What ? That's why you kept trying to run away ?". Jane smiled saying "His eyes are charming". Bella smacked Jane's head saying "And a junior !".

Jane smiled and said, "No way I will develop a spark on him. Don't worry, Queen. I like a guy who supports me, protects me, a person who won't let me down to entrain any other women and take care of me & my sisters as well".

Bella smiled saying "None of your ex-bf did those and you still expect this behavior in our current generation? That kind of boyfriend already died along with Dino".

Jane gave an evil giggle saying "That's why I prefer not to date". Math sir heard them mumbling. 

Bella said "Oh..If I am right, That junior guy's name is Max. He is one year younger than you. Quiet guy who always hangs out with his friends. The innocent nerd who doesn't have any dating history. He seems to have a crush on his classmate. But it didn't work out well, she rejected her. She seems to be in love with a guy who is currently chasing after you". 

Jane said, "You kidding, right?". Math sir heard them mumbling again. 

Bella gave a smile saying "Well, you never spoke to anyone who isn't related to you in any way. It's called love". 

Jane said, "Shut up". Bella smacked Jane's back pointing to the Math sir.

They both got caught chattering during math class without listening and ended up standing outside the class without permission. 

On Sports Day 2022, Jane and Bella are on opposite teams for the kho-kho match. It's the last match to determine the winner. Jane's team already got 6 points while chasing. Now its Bella's team's turn to chase. Already one set was over, and Bella's team stood with 3 points. Jane and Bella were smirking at each other. Bella shouted, "Go catch her ! Time is running out".

Jane smirked and replied, "Bella, how can you treat your friend like this just for a kho-kho* match ?".

Bella replied, "We are in two different teams ! And I am the captain of this team ! Give kho to me! I will go catch her". 

A girl started to run towards Bella and made her the next chaser. Two other players who came along with Jane were out. Now Bella's team obtained 5 points. If they catch Jane, They will get 6 points and another set will be set to be chased after. Bella pointed at Jane and smirked. Jane had a cold thrill and started to Run. When a chaser reached out her arm to catch Jane. Jane used her height as an advantage to dodge downwards and change the direction. The crowd endorsed the quick action. Bella again became a chaser and ran straight towards Jane at high speed.

Jane panicked and started to think of a new strategy to escape this neck-to-neck competition. The crowd went quiet as the time started to end in 10 sec. Jane was about to give up because Bella already covered Jane, and the only way was to escape her grab while smoothly passing through her arm. It's a 50-50 chance. 

One voice roared saying "Don't give up ! Still 5 more seconds, Escape!".It was Max.

Jane heard it and snapped out of her zoning out. Jane took a deep breath and waited till Bella came closer. Once she was near, Jane squatted and ran toward Bella with all she got. She escaped and the time was over. 

The crowd screamed in Joy. Bella and Jane walked to a tree and started to pant. Bella laughed saying "You escaped. Love did you see that junior guy screaming ?". Jane choked on the water saying "What ?". Bella pointed at him saying "Look over there. He was supposed to be my team. Yet he screamed out his lungs for you. He is a quiet kid, I didn't know he could shout that loud". Jane made another eye contact with him. They were blankly staring at each other. Jane felt something strange due to his mesmerizing eyes.

Jane's team captain started to run toward Jane saying "We won the match!". Jane started to run away from the captain to avoid his Hug saying "I don't like hugs !".

She ended up bumping into that junior guy. Jane looked up just to realize she was in his arms. Jane thought to herself "He is taller up close...or is that I am just too small. He is taller than my class boys". Jane's team captain ran away after creating a mess. Bella laughed from far away looking at her. Jane looked at him again and ended up making eye contact with him. He was staring at her. Jane could feel his warm breath brushing across her neck. He grabbed her and pulled her close to his face. Jane started to panic. He kissed her lips.

Jane thought to herself "What the hell ?".
