chapter 60: winged guardian?

Spirit glades

"It is my greatest honor to serve you master" zenoki kowtowed

The woman with the hollow eye sockets walked towards Faro , each of her steps had a seductive feel to them as her hips swayed from left to right

"Unbind him" zenoki's vines immediately let go of faro and instead of falling he remained suspended in the air

The woman walked up to faro and she touched his forehead , Faro's eyes fluttered open only to be met by a woman with hollow eyes causing his heart to skip a beat .

" Faro jorn it is an honor to meet you , I go by many names but you can call me Delilah. I have been watching you for years now and I must say that your progress is something else but you see the Zaloz family have been suppressing your bloodline's growth making you their servants because they know that your family's potential is greater than theirs therefore I'm going to help you faro , help you achieve your true potential and destroy the servant chains the Zaloz family had placed over your family for countless of years " the woman's voice resounded inside Faro's head

Faro's facial expression turned into one of disgust

"Vile creature of the foul what makes you think I would ever believe your filthy lies ? What makes you think my loyalty to the throne would waver ? "

The woman moved her head closer to Faro's face her hollow eye sockets starring at Faro's eyes " I wasn't trying to persuade you faro , I am going to HELP YOU, CURE YOU " the woman's voice in his head got louder

Zenoki kept his head down not even daring to move an inch , his mind was in a state of turmoil

- what is it she wants with him ? I have been a faithful servant , she said she would give Zebha to me !!- zenoki raged in his his mind

"Deacon rise and return to Zebha ,once you are there await my instructions " zenoki stood up and bowed after hearing the woman's words then his vines emerged from the ground and wrapped around him retracting back to the ground with him inside leaving faro and the woman alone

" It's time for you to meet your new family " the fog retuned to the glades engulfing both faro and the woman inside it ...

Bermn sea

Above the bermun sea kora was making her way towards hentesa , the group of people on her back were all meditating except for finn who was looking down at the raging sea , the merciless winds caused the waves to crash and erupt like lava coming down from a raging volcano. It splitted like an aggressive wild beast , angered by the vigorous storm. The waves punching and beating the ships that sailed through the sea with all their might and the wind gusts knife that threatened to tear the sails .

" Prepare yourselves we are approaching the gates of bermun"

The gates of bermun consisted of multiple whirlpools that sucked in everything that came near them ,whether it was from the sea or the air . The whirlpools had an incredible suction force that no one has ever survived it , so basically Finn and his group were risking with their lives .

" Everyone cover your bodies with the breath and clear your minds , we are passing right above the gates of the underworld and if your mind is full of filthy and impure thoughts your soul will be drag to the underworld and there is nothing I can do . So Do not worry about the whirlpools kora can make it through , just keep your minds empty until we pass" Finn instructed loudly for everyone to hear

The whole group nodded simultaneously with serious expressions as they realized the grave danger they were in .

"Kora , lightning wings now" Finn instructed his mount , lightning crackled around the bird's wings and "woooooooosh"

Kora's speed increased by ten fold , approaching the gates of Bermun with speed so fast that she would go unnoticed by a mundane humane , everybody on her back channeled their breath to create a thin protective barrier protecting themselves against the merciless winds

Finn raised his hand and a fiery aura spread out covering the whole bird . Kora's speed decreased a little as she flew above the gates of bermun , a strong suction force pulled at them decreasing Kora's speed and altitude but she kept going forward under the strain of the suction force . Timothy's eyes were shut close as he was trying to clear his thoughts but that's when he heard them , a thousand wails coming from down below urging him to take a peak at the gates , begging him for help , painful shrieks of terror rang loudly in his head .

" Stooop!!" Timothy screamed catching the attention of Finn who was focused on providing them with a barrier

He covered his ears with his hands trying to block away the many voices he was hearing but it didn't help as the wails got worse and worse

" The spawns of the enlightened ones dare to pass by the gates of bermun? "

"Do they not know the sins of their fathers ?"

"Have they come to repent? Brothers come see come see !" Three different voices could be heard by everyone in the group

" Do not lose focus !" Finn reminded them

Timothy's screaming got louder and Jake also joined him , kora who was trying as hard as she can to continue onward was the one under the most pressure as the suction force got much stronger when she was flying past the center of the gates where a giant whirlpool stood pulling her towards it .

"Come on kora , we are almost there" Finn encouraged her

Finn's words made a difference as kora who was being pulled into the huge whirlpool burst out with terrifying speed , leaving only a trail of lightning behind "zwoooooosh"

Kora's speed broke it's usual limit as they made their way past the giant whirlpool . Finn smiled but the smile was quickly replaced by a frown as Infront of them stood a giant three headed serpent with silver and gold scales all over it's body

" It seems like they are not here to repent brothers"

" That is very unwise of them"

" What shall we do with them? Oh I know let's steal their souls "

The three heads of the serpent conversed among themselves , the rest of the group a stared at the huge serpent with wide eyes except for Timothy and Jake who were still screaming in anguish

"Ahhh brothers I sense hellfire coming from them"

" We seem to have found ourselves a demon kin"

"But it seems like it's a half-blood"

All three heads of the serpent were now starring at Finn who was the only one amongst the group standing .

" Gatekeeper Badu larohua , forgive us for trespassing on your territory our journey requires for us to pass through the great gates of bermun" finn knelt on one knee with his hands cupped extending out to the giant serpent

" You are not of importance half-blood , we want the sons of the enlightened ones"

"Give them to us and the rest of you may pass"

" Equivalent exchange , their lives for yours"

The three heads all spoke showing great interests for the two sons of the enlightened ones , Finn immediately looked at the two boys that were having a hard time resisting the wails coming from the whirlpools and he knew that these were the two sons the serpent wanted .

- Damnit Finn think fast !- he looked back at the serpent and then down towards the whirlpool a smile appeared on his face

" I'm sorry but I cannot do that , kora dive down!" Kora dived down towards the whirl ,all three heads of the serpent laughed

" A fool's choice" the middle head spoke before the serpent dove down following kora with it's middle head's mouth wide open , big enough to swallow kora whole

-"Great god Zebha , the god of my ancestors I King Zaloz the fifth ask for your divine light to light up the way for me as I am falling towards my doom" finn whispered a small prayer with his eyes closed , the serpent heard him and all it's three heads started mocking him

" No god can hear your prayers from this place "

" Zebha won't help you half-blood "

"So this was his plan brothers? To throw himself to the main gate and ask a god for help? How pitiful"

Finn didn't panick at their words but instead kept his cool , the rest of the group had closed their eyes shut not even daring to look down into the whirlpool

" He hears you " a smooth charming voice spoke in his ears

A blinding light covered Finn and the rest ,loud shrieks could be heard above him as all six eyes of the large serpent had caught fire

" A winged guardian has come to their aid brothers "

"My eyes burnsss!!!! It burnsss!"

" A divine servant has descended let us leave brothers!"

The huge serpent immediately vanished leaving kora the only thing diving towards the whirlpool

"Kora ! Upp!! Lightning wings" kora who had been falling much faster because of the suction force was now supposed to move towards an opposing direction but the suction force was to strong even for kora who was now so close to the whirlpool

Finn opened his palm and channeled the breath into it , dark red flames covered his palm

" Rune magic , raging flame" the red flame in his palm burst out towards the whirlpool and the force from the attack helped propel kora ourt of the huge whirlpool's range

Kora stabilized and her speed picked up as she hurriedly made her way out of the gates of bermun , passing the smaller whirlpools with little to no resistance at all

"Thank you great god for aiding me , And sending your divine servant to come aid me" Finn did a little prayer thanking Zebha for his aid .

After an hour kora passed right above the last whirlpool , immediately after passing the gates of bermun Timothy and Jake's behavior returned to normal but they both looked overly exhausted as if they were fighting a long battle

" All of you meditate and refill your breath we will be arriving to our destination tomorrow afternoon, I need you all fit" ....

Zebha

Two sets of footsteps made their way through the hall that led to the throne room . Inside the throne was Elvis Dupres who was surrounded by ten of his doom generals since one had died already at the hands of a sand guardian . He watched as the two men enter the throne room in a relaxed manner

"Greetings king Dupres "
