Leo decided to figure out how many karma points he would need to upgrade his attributes to the maximum level and advance the system to the next level. So, he started making a kind of shopping list and asked the system about the prices of things he will purchase: "How much is the upgrade for one attribute stat and how much for a system upgrade?"

After learning about the limitations on upgrading his attributes, Leo felt disappointed. However, he knew that he couldn't upgrade his intelligence any further as it was already hard to manage his disorganized attributes. Leo pondered further, "In the Qi Condensation realm, I can only upgrade my attributes to a maximum of ten. Since I have five attributes apart from intelligence, I will need 4,000 karma points to maximize all of them. If I add the system's upgrade cost, I will need a total of 14,000 karma points."

After calculating the cost of his basic needs, Leo decided to ask the system for a soul weapon and a barrier that could protect him from surprise attacks. However, Leo realized that he couldn't afford an immortal-grade soul weapon and an unlimited-use barrier. Without wasting any unnecessary effort, he requested from the system, "I need a soul weapon that is evolvable and has a passive ability of disguise and a one-time use barrier talisman that could block the attack of anyone under the immortal realm."

Leo didn't want anyone to know that he had a soul weapon, despite being a nobody. He didn't want to attract any unnecessary attention to himself, which was why he added the disguise ability in the weapon's description that he provided to the system.

After seeing the items that the system showed him, Leo thought, "They are affordable, and with this items, my total need of karma points is now 44,000 karma points." Leo thought of purchasing other items like a sword art and movement technique, but he decided otherwise. Leo was thinking of first mastering the basic foundation techniques in the sect to steadily build his foundation in the Qi Condensation realm. After reaching the Foundation Establishment realm, he would start to purchase better techniques from the system.

After concluding his business with the system and formulating a short-term plan, Leo decided to take a break and find a place to enjoy a cup of coffee. But then, it dawned on him: "I almost forgot, there is no coffee in this world, only fancy-looking teas." Disappointed, he felt as though he had been duped by the world. However, he decided to give the tea a chance and thought to himself, 'It's the closest thing I have to coffee, after all.'

Leo stepped out of his home and headed towards Jade City, the closest city to the Heavenly Immortal Sect. Jade City was a popular stop for noble mortals and cultivators alike.

After walking for some time, Leo arrived at the open area of the sect, which the members fondly referred to as the "Valley." He made his way towards the sect's exit and observed several outer and inner sect members along the way. Leo then remembered a unique feature of his system that allowed him to inspect individuals. Curious, he decided to test it out on one of the people standing on the roadside. With a clear intention, Leo focused his gaze on the person and uttered the command "Inspect."

Leo stopped in his tracks and stared at the person for a moment after seeing the system's response. The person noticed his gaze and looked back at him with a puzzled expression that seemed to ask, "Why are you staring at me?" Leo quickly averted his gaze and continued on his way. But, in his mind, he couldn't shake off the feeling of confusion and asked the system, "Could you explain why all the information appears to be Extra?"

[ The system investigates people by analyzing the flow of destiny, and while some individuals may have a significant impact on it, there are others who do not. These people are classified as 'extra people', as they only exist to fill the world without influencing the flow of destiny. If host wants to learn more about an 'extra person' and is willing to spend karma points, the system will conduct a thorough analysis of the flow of destiny and provide the desired information. However, this process requires additional resources, which is why the system needs karma points to retrieve information on people who have no significant impact on the flow of destiny. ]

Upon hearing the system's explanation, Leo turned back and cast a final glance at the person with a hint of pity in his eyes. 'There is no need to waste karma points on someone whom even destiny deemed as trash' he thought, before resuming his walk through the valley of the sect. As he walked, he spotted many stalls and realized that he had stumbled upon the sect's unofficial market, where members traded various items amongst themselves.
