Missing Ashley

Ren can't open his eyes and his head hurts so much as well as his body but he can hear murmurs.

"Ren are you okay?"

"Doctor, how is my son"

"Be calm"

"Nurse, stop the bleeding "

"Oh God my head hurts what's going on." He uttered these words then passed out.

A few hours later, he wakes up in a room. He notices his parents beside him and the crying father of Ashley.

"Ashley"

"He is awake, Sarah call the doctor "

"Son, are you okay?" asks Jake.

Ren got up from being asleep while being checked by the doctor. Second by second, his memories starts to slowly come back.

"Ashley, where is Ashley?"

The doctor stops him from moving and explains that his head suffered from high impact and it will really hurt with a single miscalculation in his movement.

"Ren don't worry, Ashley is now being tracked by police officers."

Ren slowly got up from his bed and immediately apologized to Ashley's father for what happened. He described the events from scene to scene and apologized again and again.

"Ren, thats okay let's just hope that she is okay." the father answers.

Beacuse of the mixed emotions inside Ren's head. His tears flawed out of nowhere. His fists are tightened because of anger and he feels that his heart is being pierced countless times.

"Sir I'm really really sorry. I should have done something. I'm worthless. "

Ren's mother which is on the corner was carried away with the guys words and now tears are also flowing in her eyes. He cannot do anything to cure his son's pain. The only thing he could do was to give him a hug.

"Good evening people." a formal voice approches.

"I am lieutenant Arnold. I am holding this case and I would like to start the investigation if I may"

Ren hardens his mind up and faces the officer.He promised that he will do anything and try to help with everything.

"Based on the closed circuit television video that was taken near from the spot, we have confirmed that one of the personels and potentially the leader of the culprits is Ricardo. He was seen standing behind the van for some reason. Do you have some connection with him?" asks the investigator.

"This is my fault after all. This Ricardo once chased me and planned to kill me. Good thing one of my friends came by to help me. We beat him up real good but I didn't know he will be up on his feet in a very short period of time. What the heck did I do. This is my fault."

Jake heard this and was so surprised as well as Sarah.

"Son what were you thinking? You could have at least told us."

"Im sorry dad."

Jake cuts the conversation out and taps Ren's shoulders.

"Ren don't take the blame. Actually this Ricardo came to my business asking me to close it and sign an agreement of giving the establishment to a certain someone and of course I refused. He doesn't buldge even if I asked him to leave. That left me no choice but to let my body guards handle the job. I didn't know this was the consequence."

"With that we can conclude that the first motive is a kidnapping which will be used as a blackmailing tool later on. Sir if we are right, somebody will call you soon please keep in touch with us.

The act on Mr. Johnson must be a coincidenced revenge. "

"I will keep in touch sir." says James.

That night, Ren slept with such sadness in his eyes. Repeating the words " I should have done something, I should have helped her".

3:00 in the morning. James's phone rung suddenly and they found out that it's an unknown caller. Investigators and equipments to track the caller are then activated and plotted.

"Hello who is this? yo! it's been a short time. Now you see the results of being a hard headed person. Your daughter is here and don't worry she is safe. "

"Don't you dare hurt here " Answers the father.

"I am now holding a gun and anytime I can shoot her."

"DAMN YOU WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

"I want you to sign the papers and I want $500,000.00. Further instructions will come tomorrow. Goodnight. "

"Hey hey hello "

"Damn it he hunged up"

The investigating officer focuses on the others and checked their positions.

"Officer how is it? did we get the location " asks officer Arnold.

The personel incharge sadly says no. He explains that there wasn't enough call time.

"We then have to put our hopes to the opereration after receiving the instruction."

James stood up and thank the officers. He waves and explains about fixing the money.

Morning came and nobody slept after that call, not even Sarah. He finally arrived with a case containing the amount requested.

The concerned individuala sat quietly as they wait for the phone in the table to ring.An hour has passed, two hours.

"Bzzt bzzt bzzzt" Finally, the ring they have been waiting for.He calls for the investigators and then answers the call.

"Is Ashley okay where are you?" he immediately asked.

"Easy easy easy. Deliver my package to a man I sent to the park near the hospital. He is wearing a red shirt and brown shorts. He also have the documents which you will you need to sign. That's all goodluck"

"Hey hey hey wait wait"

"Damn he hunged up"

The officer gathers all his men who are all instructed to be in civilian clothes. He immediately briefs them about the plan.

"Okay gentlemen, the plan is to let the enemy's asset get what they want and follow them to their location. Alpha you will be the main following force. Bravo you will be positioned fifty meters from the asset. Charlie, you will be surrounding the asset from a hundred meter range. This time team delta is composed of the agency's top snipers. Once location is pinpointed, snipers with thier experience shall get to sniping positions. Alpha, Bravo and charlie will then surround the location and will be waiting for cignal. Is that clear?"

"YES SIR"

James fixed the money and started to descend in the hospital. Uppon arrival on the park, he found the enemy's asset. Without any conversation the deal was done.

"Operation start " commands the officer.Mission was going smoothly untill Ricardo called once again.

"Woah Woah Woah do you really think that we didn't notice that you are working with the police? Order your men to withdraw or she dies."

"DAD HELP MEEE"

"Ashley!! are you okay"

The commanding officer with fallen hope ordered his men to withdraw.

"Now thank you for signing the paper"

"Wait what about my daughter? James asks.

"Well because you have done something unworthy, she dies"

"DAAAAD"

Ren heard what the caller said and was very nervous for it.With a rush of adrenaline, he grabbed the phone from Ashley's father who is now crying and weakened,

"ASHLEY HANG IN THERE, DON'T YOU DARE DO ANYTHING TO HER "

"Well Mr. Johnson, try to stop me."

"beep"

"DAMMN IT"

With everyone in the room loosing hope, Ren can't stop thinking about the lady. Its very cold in the room but he could only feel sadness and anger.

"Huh coldness? "

"RIGHT MY JACKET IS WITH ASHLEY AND IT HAS MY PHONE IN IT"

The investigator got his hopes high again. Tracking team lets go to work.
