Chapter 7

Selena

I woke up at my usual time and the morning went away in a snap of fingers. It was already 6 in the evening and I was basking in the sunset sky when the doorbell rang. Tia ran downstairs, murmuring something under her breath... to open the door. She had just dropped by to discuss something important and I swear I saw this coming from the way Tia has been acting up since last week.

If their one thing that I hate to the core, it's discussing work on off days! But it wasn't work-related only, Tia mentioned. When she came back and handed over the courier to me looking tensed. I raised an eyebrow at her because the courier was already opened and whatever it might have been, she already knows about it and I had a strong feeling it wasn't something good.

So I went ahead, It was a simple note addressed to me – "Your time is up Ms. Mallik! Goodbye".

I was a little nervous but I still had to see what was in the USB sent along with it. Tia and I were looking at each other with an understanding look. She plugged in the USB in my laptop and There was a video of a girl walking into a hotel room with a mid-age man.

The girl was wearing a dress similar to mine, that I wore to an event I attended 4 months back. I remember the dress vividly because it was a last-minute plan to attend that event considering our current show's producer was hosting it. her face wasn't visible cause the video of taken from the backside.

I had a feeling this video is exactly what I am expecting it not to be and I was right…

The video was continued from inside the room where the girl and man were captured on the bed doing all sorts of dirty things you can imagine between a man and a woman. It was a sex tape.

What caught my attention was the girl looked just like me, I was confused but I realized Tia already knew about it. The way she looked at me with sympathetic eyes, she knew it wasn't me, and most importantly I knew it wasn't me in the video.
