Chapter 22

Mr. P.N.

When I extended my hand towards Selena, she took it and shook hands with me. I felt sparks all over my body. I looked at her petite soft hand that fitted well into my big one, I must have been holding her a little too long because she decided to take her hand back but I tighten my grip on her and took a step towards her to reveal myself.

The moment our eyes met, I saw Seleno (I like calling her Seleno) looking at me with thousands of expressions in those hazel brown eyes... from confusion to shock, to realization, relief, and shock again!!

"Park Namjoon" she whispered; I almost didn't hear it.

I smiled at the way my name sounded in her sweet voice.

"You look beautiful", I told her and she replied with a little smile and thank you.

We sat at the table and soon after the food arrived. She looked at the food and then at me, I looked at her and motioned with my hand to dig in. She was still hesitant before she finally spoke… "Why did you want to meet me?" she asked.

"Calm down love, we can talk after dinner", I told her. She looked like she might pass out anytime soon and I didn't want that on our very first date. She tried her best to hide it but I could see she was anxious from the moment she entered the hall.

She gave me a nod and started eating.

"Did you like the dress", I asked trying to start a conversation.

"It's lovely". She spoke.

I smiled, knowing that she liked my gift made me happy and we stopped talking because I didn't know what else to say. I couldn't ask her how's everything… I'm very well aware of what has happened over the last two months and what she is going through. So, I decided to eat my fill.

It had been 10 minutes and Seleno spoke, "So, tell me now why did you want to meet me?"

" Well, I have a proposal for you."

"What kind of proposal?" she asked.

"Marry Me."

"What?" She asked looking confused.

"Marry Me, Seleno".

"First, it's Selena, and second what kind of joke is this?" She said standing up from her chair.

"I'm not joking love, I know what I am talking about," I said.

"Well, it does look like a joke to me, rather a demand... like you're giving me an order!'

I walked up to her and looked her in the eye…. And told her, "I have my reasons."

"What reasons? We are practically strangers to each other and you're asking me to marry you in our very first meeting!! Why should I marry you? Give me one good reason!" she asked.

She looked determined at that very moment and something inside me told me I have to tell her everything for her to agree to this.

How stupid of me to think that she would just agree to my proposal, not like I was 100% sure but for some reason I badly want her to agree to my proposal.

So, I decided to share my little secret with her.
