Chapter 15

Tia

When I went inside again, Selena was still sleeping. So, I called Aunty to join me for dinner. She denied it at first stating she just wants to sit by her daughter's side but joined me when I told her Selena wouldn't be happy knowing that she skipped dinner and her medicine when she woke up.

Selena is very particular about her mother's health and personally keeps a check on her and her food and medicine even after working on a tight schedule. She didn't forget it for a single day even when all this scandal happened.

Selena woke up the next day and looked relieved when she found her mother by her side. By the afternoon she was feeling a lot better and calmer and it made me feel a lot better as well.

When I saw Mumma next to me, after waking up… I instantly hugged her and snuggled into her embrace. She held me closely and I guess I slept again for a while.

I cried and poured my heart out when she asked what happened. It wasn't like she wasn't aware of what was happening with me but she wanted me to speak because she knew that was the only way to get things out of my mind and put me at ease.

No matter what, nothing feels better than pouring out my heart to my mom!!

Mom and I discussed the things and she gave me, her peace of mind and assured me that things will be sorted out but I need to hold onto my ground and not let things take control over me.

What is lost is lost… I might not get the same thing back but that doesn't mean I can't get myself something new of the same value... that includes my reputation in the industry and my respect ad dignity. I would have to earn everything again, once I can get myself out of this mess.

I am so grateful that Tia decided to call Mumma because I wasn't going to do that for myself.
