Demon x Heroes Chapter 7: Unveiling Darkness

The town's people had gathered in the heart of the town, murmuring with curiosity and concern. The air was tense as they awaited the royal announcer's statement about the second princess's visit.

A majestic figure stepped forward, dressed in elegant royal attire. It was the royal announcer, a herald of the princess.

The crowd hushed as he spoke with a booming voice, "People of this town, hear this proclamation! Her Royal Highness, the Second Princess of Elysium, has come to claim this land and its resources in the name of the kingdom!"

"What?!...But she can't!"

Eldric who followed me and lyra as we joined the crowd and was currently standing right next to us let out those words of complaint.

The townspeople erupted in protest. "This is unjust!" cried an elderly man. "We've worked this land for generations; they cannot simply take it away!"

Eldric clenched his fist in annoyance, feeling the weight of his personal vendetta against the princess intensify. The princess's grin inside the carriage only fueled his anger further.

"This... isn't right."

"sigh!"

Lyra, sensitive to the people's plight, couldn't help but feel empathy towards them and the goddess, who expressed her disappointment at the princess's actions by letting out a simple sigh.

The royal announcer finished his proclamation, ignoring the passionate complaints from the townspeople. Their anger grew, and their voices became louder, demanding justice and fairness.

The announcer, unfazed by the protests, turned to leave, but the townspeople refused to let him off easily. Their fury reached its peak, and they surged forward, surrounding the carriage.

The princess remained inside, her grin widening as she enjoyed the turmoil her presence had caused.

She seemed to take delight in the discontent of the townspeople.

"Interesting"

i then let a wide grin form on my face because of the excitement that was building up inside me.

"This princess is really going to be worth destroying!"
