Chapter 40 : We're going to find you a good friend

"Miss Kanae, Miss Shinobi, welcome, master Gyomei Himejima is waiting for you."

The collared frame of the happi contains the kanji for the Japanese Shin Buddha chant (Namu Amida Butsu) from the top-down, along with the separate kanji all over at the back. He was also sporting a large-beaded necklace around his neck and carrying a set of ojuzu.

He's the the Stone Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps, also the strongest among all the 'Hashira'. He was later acknowledged by Kokushibo as a swordsman who had tempered his body to the limit of human being that he had not seen in 300 years.

"Kanae, you are late for the first time."

Gyomei raised his head and looked in Kanae's direction. Although his eyesight was lost, it didn't seem to affect Gyomei much and he clearly seems to know the position of Kanae.
