Taking a survey at the long list of materials and construction work that had to be done, Kiyomi smiled contently.
At the least, it would take at least three days to get all the materials needed for the renovation.
And the renovation itself will take no less than two months, which is relatively fast considering the speed of the workers in modern times, which is from three months to an entire year to finish.
*Knock* *Knock*
Kiyomi heard the gates of the manor being knocked on and came to open the gate, thinking it was the materials that were being delivered.
"Oh! Himejima Gyomei, hello! Come in and you can put the logs over there on the right!"
As she finished her sentence, Gyomei walked in and put down the logs on his back.
"Thank you so much for delivering a section of the materials! I hope you're having a good day?"
Kiyomi saw that the rock pillar was carrying multiple wooden logs on his back and greeted him cordially for his hard work.
Gyomei has a hulking figure, he is very tall, and he easily towering over his fellow Hashiras. He is also very powerfully built and extremely muscular.
Somehow, Gyomei had felt that Kiyomi was very trustworthy, and so he responded back very kindly:
"Thank you for your concern, and good day to you too. Kiyomi, was it? You're a very kind child..."
Patting his hands to get rid of the dust on his hands, Gyomei took the prayer beads he had temporarily hung on his neck into his hands and rubbed the beads, making a loud crackling sound.
"The master had instructed me to deliver some of the materials that you requested. The rest of the materials should be arriving shortly."
"...Are you planning to renovate the manor with all these materials?"
Smiling brightly at Gyomei merrily, Kiyomi said playfully:
"Teehee! That's correct! I'll be living here for a few years after all. Even though I won't be able to slay demons with the rest of you guys for reasons, I'm still able to train newbie slayers! So I was planning to build a better and larger training area for that while also renovating the entire manor just because It was convenient to do so! I'm going to be living with Kanae during- "
A voice suddenly interrupted Kiyomi:
"Hey! It's you, violent woman! Why are you in the Hashira residence area?!"
Her face twitching from annoyance, Kiyomi turned to look at the person who had just insulted her.
"Huh!?! What did you just say??! You crazy scar dude with no manners!"
Before Sanemi and Kiyomi got into a fight, Gyomei Intervened in the dispute between Kiyomi and Sanemi and stopped the two from arguing any further.
"Alright... that's enough Kiyomi, even though I don't know what Sanemi did to you for you to be so mad at him, I think we should stop here."
Hearing the words of Gyomei, Kiyomi pouted and crossed her arms.
"And you too Sanemi, the master has already invited Kiyomi to become a Hashira, and she has already accepted. But due to some special reasons, she will not be able to slay demons like the rest of us."
Shocked that Gyomei had defended someone he had just met, Sanemi even forgot to retort as he would usually do.
Though he maintains a fairly reserved disposition, Gyomei usually harbors a very objective and somewhat suspicious view of the people around him, owing to his experiences before becoming a Demon Slayer.
He is ever-cognizant of what others, particularly children or those younger than him, are capable of if given the opportunity.
By reason of his doubtful nature, it can take a while for Gyomei to completely accept and trust others. When he does open up and let others in, he is unwavering in his commitment to them.
So this was why Sanemi was very bewildered and shocked as to why Gyomei was so defensive for someone he had just met.
"Tsk! Whatever!"
Leaving without another word, Sanemi angrily stormed off.
Kiyomi was also a little surprised that Sanemi didn't choose to fight with her once hearing that she would not be able to slay demons with the rest of the demon slayers while still enjoying the benefits of being a Hashira.
"Well. He'll probably be back after a few months or so. ...Meh~ thanks for driving that moody guy away Gyomei!"
Putting up a pious expression, passionate tears flowed from Gyomei's blinded eyes.
Even though nothing sad was worth mentioning to Gyomei currently, he still uncontrollably let the tears flow from his eyes.
"Hmmmm... What will you call your manor, Kiyomi?"
Kiyomi replied with the same cheerful voice like nothing had happened:
"Well~ I was thinking of calling it moon manor because Kanae named her manor after the butterfly breathing style, but I decided to call it Eientei, which means house of eternity!"
"Eientei..."
Gyomei seemed to be thinking about this name for a while.
"Its a good name. Eientei. Eternity. But you should know that nothing is eternal. Maybe except God... .... I'll be leaving now, take care of yourself."
Finshing his sentence, Gyomei walked out of Kiyomi's manor, ah.. no, it should be called Eientei now.
"Yes! You too Gyomei!"
Putting her hands on her hips, Kiyomi smiled contently with the number of materials that Gyomei had brought and said to herself:
"The rock pillar is indeed the rock pillar. But I still wonder how he is able to 'See' things even though he's blind. ... I forgot. Oh wells!"
Shrugging it off easily, Kiyomi remembered her brother who should have already killed the temple demon and was currently undergoing training with Urokodaki.
Giving a moment of silence to the suffering Tanjiro, Kiyomi had a serious expression.
"Well! You got to work hard, Tanjiro~, otherwise, you won't be able to defeat Muzan. But I'll help you when needed, so do your best, brother!"
*Cough~*
Kiyomi whispered:
"Even though I can totally do that in your place."
"But having some adventure isn't so bad, just take it as an important event that you'll be able to brag about later after you marry Kanao and have kids~ Hehehehe.."
...It seems that the sadistic side of Kiyomi has burst out again.
*Guuuruu*
Clutching her stomach, Kiyomi let out a groan.
"Uhgn!!! I guess it's time for lunch... Maybe I should try eating pufferfish this time... Catfish tastes so bad that I'm about to vomit just thinking of it..."
Eientei. Well. Good idea. Also, stone pillar, rock pillar, no difference.
