Godrin’s Record of the Era of Mist

Yu Sheng had this thought and immediately looked at the mist, listening intently to the prayers of the people.

They are not praying to me, but to the Machine God. Prayers directed towards the Machine God arrive here, meaning that this was originally the Machine God's residence?

Unless they are strictly praying to me, I dare not answer. For such a thing to occur, I first need to earn the status of a god before masquerading as one.

The only changes that arise with this new development is the speed of my growth, I will most likely need to consolidate the newfound power I have obtained during Wilfox's endeavours with my current grade before attempting to advance.

Furthermore, I also need to gain more financial backing as I need to be able to afford the expenses of crafting new machinery.

The front cover had black lettering that read, 'Records from the Era of Mist: Godrin.'

Era of Mist? Is that the lost name of the first era?

The name of the first era of human existence wasn't known, it was commonly referred to as the Grey Era, which was quite a witty wordplay. It referred to the grey pictures that emerged at the end of the era, and also expresses that knowledge of the era was extremely limited, it was a grey area in terms of history.

Who is Godrin? Hmm, let me have a look inside the book.

Yu Sheng opened the first page and before he could scour the contents, an interface notification appeared.

He spent a total of seven hours reading it three times before he managed to even partly comprehend it to the interface's standards.

This book is a personal notebook of Godrin, it contains many details of Transcendence that I did not know of, I will need to keep this with me and read it multiple more times, this is currently my most valued possession.

Yu Sheng had constantly praised the book in his mind while reading it, now he had somewhat of a conclusion on it.

If the book was released to the public, the price tag would be enough to render the richest man in Blackshine speechless.

Yu Sheng's plan for the future had drastically changed after reading the book, now he understood that the main thing about becoming a Transcendent was the spiritual differences between a human, not the negligible physical differences.

Spirituality was the origin of all Transcendent power, what was the difference between a human Mechanic and Yu Sheng without his spirituality? Furthermore, mana itself stems from spirituality, it is simply an extension of it.

To consolidate his strength with his current grade, what was required was to cultivate his spiritual strength to the same level of an Experienced-grade Transcendent, otherwise, he would have wasted the entire Experienced Grade and gained nothing from it.

Just who is this Godrin? To understand Transcendence to such a degree while also being deeply affiliated with the army during a war, he is no minor character.

The lost history of the so-called Era of Mist is extremely fascinating. However, why is it called the Era of Mist? Is this mist the same as this mysterious mist and Godrin is the true ruler of this world and the interface? Honestly, I don't think I will ever know. The only thing to do now is to raise my knowledge, spirituality and physical strength to be able to understand my situation, the reason behind my transmigration and answer the limitless questions I have.

That was Godrin… Hopefully, I might be able to obtain more of his works in the future and advance the interface even further. But what was he talking about? Spirit World sounds like something to do with spirituality, a whole world based on the concept, maybe? The Material World is most likely the observable universe. Godrin would like to live again but he is restricted by the man who 'never submits'. Who is the man who never submits? I am now certain that this world surrounded by mist was once Godrin's residence.

There are too many things I do not understand, but hopefully as my grade increases, I will gain more control over this realm and more wisdom over Transcendent matters, becoming an existence who Godrin himself would fear.

Now, I urgently need to leave!

After thinking that, a sense of free-falling enveloped Yu Sheng's mind as the grey mist dissolved into nothingness, returning to the beginning, the darkness.

From the world of mystery, through the Spirit World and back into the Material World, Yu Sheng found himself just before the gates of Greyfar, his Mana Supercar was nowhere in sight.
