And just like that the gathering was over, as I was excoriated by a another member of the house back to my room.

RAFAEL P.O.V.

"Why didn't no one tell me that my Father is back to the country?" I said to a group of about 12 males.

"Were sorry boss, we wanted to find more Intel on why he's back" said Simon one of my most trusted men.

"And did you find anything?" I asked taking out a piece of meat and feeding it to my wolf (scar) who was in a cage.

"Your father is back to recreate the Empire" said Leo, as he walked towards my table with a file containing details about the underworld.

"When did he come back?" I asked with a gloomy attitude.

"About a week ago"

"And one more thing he has called for a meeting among the deciples of the underworld and Sir as a member you cannot miss that " said Simon.

"Fine let's go give papa a welcome party" I smirked.

I was sitting in my room when I received a call from my step mother, requesting for my presence at the family house. I got dressed and fixed my makeup cause I don't want to look too attractive to anyone.

"Where do you think your going?" Said Rafael who has been standing beside my bed for the past 10 minutes.

"Am going back, I've been called by my stepmom and am sure its about the sudden death of my father" I said fixing my long black hair.

"Then I will follow you" he said, walking around the room.

"Am sorry what!!" Why do you have to follow me? What for?" I yelled at him.

"Hold on sweetie, did you forget am your husband and what if I say you won't leave this door and you won't. So be a good girl and cooperate" he said like truly he was some sort of a thing to me.

I inhaled "fine, but how would I answer them when they start questioning me about you?" I asked.

"Don't worry you can just give them a stupid excuse, no hard feeling " he said as he smiled in a situation like this.

"Okay" I said as he was already walking away.

"Wait" I called out as he instantly stopped.

"What do you want from me? Why are you asking me to be your wife?" I questioned him, but instead of him looking serious he just begin to laugh making me feel akward about my question.

"Ohhh dear wife we should be quick unless were going to be late" he said as he walked out of the room.

     I just picked up my bag and coat as I walk outside to join him in the car, surprisedly he was the one driving.

"Get in" he said.

I opened the back seat door as he yelled immediately " am your husband not your driver" with his word I went straight to the front seat, but it feels akward sitting close to him, it seems like we are really married and he looks not bothered.

"So you have any idea why they are calling you?" He broke the silence with a gentle tone.

"No but all I know is it will be concerning the death of my father" I said holding the clock pendant around my neck.

"How's the flash drive doing?"

"What!! What is he talking about? How did he know?" My heart begin to beat so fast and loud that even him could hear it.

"What are you talking about?" I muttered.

"The flash drive that your daddy gave you of course" he casually said.

"How did you know" I yelled.

"When you make it obvious everytime touching that pendant around your neck" he said starring intensely in my eyes.

"What do you want" I calmly said with my head facing the floor as I tremble in fear.

   He stopped the car and went outside, the next moment he was bent beside me at the entrance.

"Hey, hey look at me" he said as he carefully shifted my face to his direction. "Are you scared? You don't need to be, I won't hurt you I promise"  the look on his eyes and words were that of sincerity, like what is wrong with this guy?.

"Ohhhhh uhmmmm can we get going now?" I had to stop him before something else happen, maybe kill me.

"Sure, maybe on our way back let's have dinner" he smiled walking back into the car.

    We arrived at my father's big white mansion like that of a president's house. I haven't been here for five good years, and just the look of the house gives me chills.

"Come on let's go" I said as we both walk in the house.

"It seems like they are holding a party" said Rafael.

"Ohhh welcome, Zaira how long has it been?" Sophia one of my step cousin who am older than with a year said. She is known to have a charismatic character and a love for fancy and beautiful things, you can see that through her outfit and heavy but I don't know cute makeup with her colorful pink hair.

"Ohh Sophia, long time" I said but her attention was somewhere else, at Rafael as she look like she just feel in love. But come to think of it, I didn't have the time to look at his outfit. He's dressed in a beautiful and expensive black Italian suits, just like the ones my father loves to wear, along with a long black coat attaching it with a Gucci design scarf around his neck that matches my gown, how annoying. His hair was left down but more in a side patter bringing out more of his beauty. But his face remains the same scary and annoying.

"Who is this" Sophia asked as she walked closer to Rafael who looked not interested in whatever is going on.

"Hiiii" she said bringing out her hand for an handshake.

"Come on let's go" I said knowing full well that if I had not interrupted someone was going to cry and it is definitely Sophia.

  We entered the living room and just seeing everyone sitted must be something serious.

"Ohhh if it isn't Zaira" said Jason dragging everyone's attention to me.

"Your here" said my stepmom who doesn't look pleased about my arrival despite she's the one that called me here.

"It's good to see you all" I greeted as I sat down.

"But mother why is she here" Ruby the last child of the family who never liked me, cause she believes father preferred me more than her.

"She wouldn't be here if your father lawyer would be able to read the will without her" she said comfortable.

"Those words pierced through my heart, so they only called me out her to share father's will.

"Before we begin, who is that man over there?" Lucas one of my siblings and Nash right hand man said pointing at Rafael who looked pleased at the sudden attention.

He bent towards me "I think they are asking you a question wife, who am I?" He whispered.

"He is my husband" I boldly said putting them all in shock mostly my stepmom and Nash who haven't said a word since and it felt good.

"What!!! How would you say Rafael Pendragon son of the Pen house is your husband!!" Ruby said.

"Do you even know what your saying Zaira? Or are you starting to lose it?" My stepmom said as everyone begin to laugh, while I just watch them with embarrassment all over my face.

"Will you all shut up" Rafael yelled like a dragon as everyone shut up.

"Who are you to tell us shut up" Alex the first son who is a professional drunker and is used like a rag by Nash and everyone said.

"Before I close my eyes and open it everyone get on your knees and apologize to my wife" his face wasn't really visible for me to see his expression.

"Who the hell does this guy think he is?" Seize him you all!!!" Alex shouted at two heavy bodyguard who looked bigger but not scarier than Rafael.

It looks like magic to me as he take out a small knife from his pocket at stab it at the first guy's testicles over and over again, even though blood was gushing all over his body he didn't stop till the guy collapsed on the floor.

"Come here let me make your death painful" he happily said to the second one who rushed towards him and tried to also stab him but before he could lay a finger on Rafael's hair, his head was flying straight to the table.

"Come to think of it isn't he a part of the underworld? I've heard a lot of rumors about him? He actually owns one if the biggest gangs in the country"

"Some said he killed his brother you be a part of the underworld"

"Some said he's the child of a beast"

"I guess that explains why Nash is in so much fear" they all whispered among themselves but I could clearly hear them. But what do they mean about him being a part of the underworld?.
