Humble Beginnings

In the beginning there were angles and demons, or at least that's what people are told. Truth is no one really knows what there was or is in the beginning, the only thing that is true is that demons exist. Always have always will. They exist as creatures hiding in the shadows, beasts that strike in both the light and dark, and demons that take on the form of men and women to decieve and control humans.

Three millennia ago a man by the name of Hellsing took a stand and fought against the demon race. Upon the first Hellsing's death he would pass on the responsibility of fighting the demon race to his son. As the years passed the Hellsing bloodline continued to fend off demons, and as time passed more people joined them. They called themselves, The Vanguard.

The Vanguards influence spread not just to humans, but demons as well. In time powerful members of the demon race joined the fight against their own kin. This would eventually lead to many brutal and bloody battles, ones that changed and divided the world. By the year 1237, the Hellsing of that era Merii Hellsing, made the Vanguard a more well formed and open organization. She had a different vision not just for the Vanguard, but the whole human race. She trained any and all who wanted to join the Vanguard, how to fight and kill demons.

By the year 1752, the Hellsing of that era Benjamin Hellsing, dropped the name Vanguard and constructed a huge building in the homeland of the first Hellsing, Transylvania Romania. Ten years after the building was built Benjamin would call it an Academy. His twin brother Andrew Hellsing, would name it Demon Hunter Academy. Basically it's a school that specializes in teaching people how to kill, fight, hunt, and about demons. And when you reach the right level, you are given a custom weapon designed to slaughter demons.
