Everyone is Into The Cup

"I'd hoped my men could have persuaded you to help us. For someone so old, you're not too wise are you? See, it's very simple. Reverse Jocelyn's spell and you'll be free to live your life…wasteful, warlock life." he said trying to win over her head.

*Scoffs*"You're a liar.*Marcus chuckles* You'd never let me go.But i swear it wasn't me." Natasha said trying to convince him.

Marcus cleared his throat and went to his table that has different syringes with different colors of liquid in it.

"I can't break the spell." She lied.

"Who did it then?" He asked and took the yellow one but put it back down and took the red one instead. *Exhales sharply* "I want the warlock's name. Jocelyn might be unreachable but her daughter is out there.You must want to help the girl, right?" He said while turning his gaze at her. Natasha just stared at him weakly.

"Maybe,a little medicine… will trigger your memory." He walked closer to her smirking. Natasha took a step backwards feeling frightened.

Marcus grabs her neck and injected her the red liquid. Natasha screamed because of pain and fainted. The veins in her neck up to her cheeks went visible and she turned really pale.

Later on that day, she woke up, upon noticing that no Marcus's men is around. She manage to break the lock of the chain in her hands using her not so strong power.

She was panting as she managed to break it, she then stood up and went closer to the Cage lock and tried to break it using her powers again and it's thrown few meters away. You can tell that her powers is to low that she barely creates sparks from her fingers.

The moment she got out if the cage, she walk slowly towards Jocelyn and whispered "Jocelyn.Jocelyn, I know you can hear me. Monroe is fine*panting*. She's so brave…"she said while breathing heavily and could barely even take a step.

Suddenly, one of Marcus's men is running towards Natasha and choked her and pinned her into the table where Marcus's is.

"Magic a little rusty, warlock?" The man said choking her. She tried to look for a thing that could possibly kill that man when the only thing she got is one of Marcus's syringes and she injected it harshly into his neck.

"Ah!" The man shouted and groaned because of pain and was dropped on the ground so as Natasha.She was barely moving and tried to crawl to escape when Marcus arrived.

"You're my loyal follower. A brilliant soldier." He said to his men who's breathing shallowly."I won't forget your sacrifices."he acted as if he's pitying him.But he choked him and injected all the remaining liquid. His eyes rolled and the mouth is foaming. It's dead.

Marcus stood up and went to Natasha who's crawling trying to escape but can't even move.

"You were right, warlock." And he took his seraph blade from his back and pointed it to Natasha." I was never gonna let you go." He continued smirking and pulled her hair forcely. Natasha screamed.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhh!!"

Joe was in the office in the police station keeping all Jocelyn and Monroe's stuffs in the cabinet of his desk. When suddenly a woman arrived and out a file of papers in his desk loudly.

*thud* "Joe…" The woman called his name smiling.

"Hey.. Captain."He got startled and immediately closes the cabinet and turned his gaze into the woman.

"What's the story?"She asked. Joe stuttered and look behind him where the other stuffs are."with Monroe.How is she doing?" She added.

"Oh, you talked to her?" He asked feeling relieved.

"When she stopped by." She nodded and said.

"She was here?When ?" He asked her and frowned.

"I don't know. The other day, when you were interviewing those two witnesses.

"Oh,yeah. I had so much going on here, I had James take her home." He said.

"But she's okay, right? She said she was upset about a boy, but my instincts tell me that there's more to the story." She said worriedly.

*Scoffs* " I wouldn't worry about that. You know guys at that age, they are idiots." He replied.

"Just that age?" She smirked and raise her brows.

"Well, some of us transformed ourselves and hide the idiot within." He said and chuckles.

"Well, if I ever had a daughter… I would be running a background check on every boy insight." She smiled.

"That's some sounds police work, captain." He said to her while she's slowly walking away.

Few hours later…

Joe was about to go out of his office when James appeared at the door. So he walked towards James and talked to him. They were just whispering to avoid people might be hearing them.

"What do we do now?" James asked. He's also a werewolf together with Joe.They are both in the same team.

"I got the lead I'm gonna check out. You work to Simon's angle. Where Monroe goes, Simon bounds to follow." He ordered James.

Later at night when Joe was checking all Monroe's possible location. The Captain walked slowly towards his table.He immediately put papers on the drawer to cover Jocelyn's cards and quickly closed it.

"Got this from the shift commander." She said looking so serious and put the tablet unto his table and swiped the images. It was the guy from the abandoned church the one that Jade killed, a circle member.

"One of your witnesses turned up dead outside an abandoned church. And there's this." She said to him and swiped to another photos."Your other witness winds up dead inside a parking garage." He looked at her." I don't know what tore this woman and I really don't know what happened to that car." She said confused. Seeing the girl full of blood and the car that has scratch by a wolf.

"Looks like the demonic murderer crew's taking out there witnesses one by one." Joe said maliciously.

"You sure that's all that?" She asked unconvinced.

"Oh come on, Captain. You've got no reason to doubt me." He replied and smirked.

"Don't give me one." She said in a serious tone of voice and took the tablet and walked out of his office.

James stood up from chair and went to Joe's table and whispered.

"You are supposed to stay in the radar." He reminded Joe.

"It was self defense.You know I'm on the right side of things." He explained.

"I know that. I'm not sure our friends would agree.If you wanna smooth things over, I suggest you find Monroe soon...or they will." He said referring to the other clan. He went back to his table after he speaked.

"I will. No one knows her more than I do." He said calmly.

However, Monroe,Jade,Alex and Izzy went back to the headquarters without Simon. Disappointment could be seen all over their faces.Monroe was leading them.

"I still don't understand. How can DemonHunter be better than...than what you people call mundane?" She asked while she continue walking.

"Because we protect humans." Izzy replied and stared at her back.

She stopped and sighs"You're right." Then turns around and look at Izzy "Humans.You protect humans. You left Simon all alone in the van. Great job guys!" She said blaming them. Izzy turns her back at Monroe and gritted her teeth, she got mad hearing her.

"There is some truth to the idea that human beings should have a modicum of common sense." Alex replied instead, smirking at Monroe.She just scoffs.

"Alex, not now." Izzy stared at her brother getting madder by what he just said. She's slightly blaming herself too.

"Look, they won't do anything to Simon. They just wanted to draw you out.They want the cup and they think you have it." Jade said assuring her so she won't get worried.

"But do they think that? Why does everyone think that I have the cup? What,my mom lied to me my entire life except,'oh,by the way, there's this magic cup, I hid it on but don't tell anyone.'" she said because of frustrations.*sighs*"What am I supposed to do now?" She asked and stared at everyone.

"We have to report to the Clave.They have to know we've learned about Marcus." Alex said and walked pass her. Evertone followed him.

"What, that he's my father? Great! What does that do good to Simon" she unbelievably asked Alex.

"Monroe, it's connected. The Vampires wants the cup." Jade said trying to explain to her.

"Why? It makes new DemonHunters." She replied casually, clearly didn't understand what the cup is capable of.

"Nobody wants Marcus to create an army loyal to himself." Alex replied.

"Plus, it controls demons." Izzy added.

"They'll propose a trade Simon for the cup." Jade also added.

"So, Vampires will trade Simon with the cup and Marcus will trade my mother for the cup. Either way, I'll lose someone I love." She said and stared in the air.
