Team ajustment

"Heyo everyone" David said loudly with his happy voice once he entered the room with Oliver following him.

"This is him, Oliver, our newest member. Say HI Oliver"

It was awkward and he didn't know what to do, so he simply followed.

"Eh, hi, I am Oliver. Nice to meet you"

He looked to the one person, who wasn't watching him.

Someone grabbed him from behind, someone big.

"Don't worry" A female, loud voice laughed at his performance: "They don't judge, David's just and idiot"

"Hey!"

"Feel welcome Oliver, I am Clara" She tried cheering him on.

"He is our scout and vanguard" David said, turning back towards Oliver: "right?"

Oliver nodded.

"I am thankful for accepting me to this mission"

Clare walked up front and stopped in front of a girl who was more interested than her phone than her team's new member. She had a slim but muscular figure. She had white skin, some red scale on her left side. A small line of the scales was lined up to her scalp towards her forehead. She had a Long obsidian black horn with some crimson colors mixed in it.

She finally decided to look up, after she saw Clara's face.

"Um, I am Lizbeth. Just call me Liz" She said with a bored, not caring tone.

Oliver accepted that.

"And this is Lara" Another female voice came from the other room. She was taller than Clara.

"A white elf?" Oliver asked without realizing that he did.

"Yes, Lara just loves this kind of work" David answered.

It was weird seeing a white elf like that. Oliver has seen only few of them. They are mostly rich because they all wield magic.

"So can she use magic?" He asked.

Lara nodded with a soft smile.

"Healing magic" She said closing the distance between the two of them.

"But if you can do healing magic, why are you here" Oliver kept asking without realizing how he sounded: "I mean. I didn't mean it like that"

"No, no its fine. You know Clara and Lara are a couple" As David said that Clara grabbed him with her big muscles and threw him against the wall.

"Zip it shitstain" she roared

"I hope this one isn't as dumb as David" Lizbeth murmured.

Lara came forward to Oliver.

"Anyways, you can leave your baggage here and follow me. I am going to show you around"

And then they left the room.

In the back of the room was a heavy breathing person lying, an enraged giant, and a not caring small demon. It was a funny to watch, but the best was they felt like family for Oliver.

"Worth" the pained voice of David reached out.

"You want some more!?" Clara said as she walked up to him.

"-nonononononononno, please no"

Oliver could still hear David's scream of agony after they entered the basement.

"This is where we train to stay fit" Lara pointed to the right corner of the room.

A big, blue mat was lying on the floor. On the right side where lockers, more than there are team members.

"So, I have heard you were in the Hunts team?" Lara changed the topic.

"It has been a year since I left"

"Then why the sudden change. I mean teams like these are so similar that the only difference is that the one is direct under the government and the other not.

"I miss this kind of work"

Lara turned towards Oliver and looked down to him.

"Well, you look like you are in form"

"Thanks"

After they went back from their turn Lara and Oliver met the other three in the living room.

"Ah and one more thing. This is a guild, we only got two floors in this building so please do not go to the others unless you are invited.

"Ah, yes. I didn't know that"

"So, Oliver, our mission begins in two days" Clara said as the giant walked up to him: "I am going to have to trust into David for what he has told me about you"

"He is just like David; he can't use any magic" Liz interrupted: "The only difference is that David is better"

"Be quiet Liz!" David said also joining the conversation, with his bandaged forehead.

"What?! He is just another human, right? I mean maybe you are some mixes, I can't tell"

Oliver was getting angry, he wanted to say that he was more than human, for her to leave her alone, but he couldn't. He couldn't tell them his origins.

JUST SAY THAT YOU BEAT HER ASSSSSSS

Oliver woke up from his thoughts.

"David, look. You want to put him into vanguard with me? he is just human, can he overpower his enemy's with magic?"

"What about me Liz? I am human"

"But your magic is your gun, your precision" She smiled as she said that.

She turned back from David and walked up to Oliver until she stood right under his nose.

"I am not having it, whatever your name was"

"Oliver-"

"I don't care. I don't want you in the vanguard"

BEEEEEEEAT TH e Sh IT OU T OFFFFFFFF HERRRR///BREAK THEEE skull

"Then how do I prove it to you, my worth? You want a spar?" Oliver asked trying to remain his cool.

Lizbeth's grin grew wider, till her sharp teeth showed up.

"Perfect, I am goin to beat yo ass" She said with a funny accent.

Oliver wasn't having it.

"I am going to smack the living shit out of you" Oliver's eyes big eyes turned narrow. There was an evil glare in his eyes. But there was something more, in the middle of his eye was something white, like a dot.

YES! HAAHA

Everyone was quiet. David and the others observed the situation until Clara spoke up.

"Fine, it is a spar. But don't overdo it. We have the mission to attend in two days.

"No worries Cap" The little devil smirked: "I am not going to break anything"

David walked up to Oliver. And grabbed his shoulder.

"Brother, be careful. She may be looking like this, but she is a sadistic devil. Just tap out if you can't win"

Oliver nodded, didn't say anything. As if he was listening to something else.

Someone else.

Back in the basement Oliver stood there barefoot. Oliver's upper body was naked, his dark skin showing his trained body. He had his long white hair tied behind. With his two bandages wrapped around his hands and his jogging pants he got himself ready.

Lizbeth didn't look much different. She had her black hair tied behind. The only difference was that she wore a black top, and he didn't.

"Are you guys ready?" Clara shouted.

They both nodded.

"Then start"

Lizbeth rushed in. She moved fast, very fast with that tiny body of hers. As if she wanted to end it as fast as she could.

Oliver encountered her with a long jab, for Liz to be evaded easily.

She ducked under the punch and kicked him with her front foot.

Oliver was sent flying. She had speed and power, must be because she was a demon or something.

"Hahaha, you suck!" She turned to David: "This guy was in the Hunts team?"

She had a confused look as she saw David.

He was pointing towards her back and was saying something without noise.

She looked back to where she has sent Oliver flying.

He was back up and already running in towards her. Her smile grew.

She stood there and prepared for a kick, as Oliver rushed in she attacked.

He blocked the kick with his left arm. The kick was strong enough for him to not feel his arm again.

BUT I DO NOT CARE

He grabbed her face with his right arm, lifted her up and smacked her to the ground. She was light, weirdly light.

David and the other two were shocked. It was a spectacular match, that they didn't expect it.

But Liz didn't give in. Before she hit the ground with the back of her head, she tried to suppress him with one hand and the other holding the ground off. With her two feat she was trying to hold on tight, but she was slowly going down and down.

DOWN

With one last effort Oliver lifted her up back and tried to smack her down again, but Lizbeth dodged under his arm with her swift movement and a small backflip leading to hear landing.

He turned around and looked her straight in the eyes. Her crimson eyes.

Lizbeth's smile was long gone. She had a fierce glare in her face.

This time Oliver rushed in sliding towards her knees and actually hitting here.

She went down. With a spin to the right Liz shot back up and kept spinning.

Oliver backed off because her movements were too fast for him to react.

She kept on spinning like she didn't cared at all and was moving with every round towards Oliver.

She reached out with the back of her left foot. It looked weird, as if the foot caught fire for a second. Before Oliver could see it coming he got hit, only in the last brief moment to dodge it, leaving a long scar on his big chest.

Liz smiled to that strike, but that only gave OLIVERRRR a reason MORE to beat her.

GO FROM THE LEFT, IGNORE HER RIGHT SIIIIDE

Oliver jumped in. Two strikes with his right foot. As she dodged them, he jumped in closing the distance in an instance.

He gave her two jabs until she fell back.

Oliver turned to Clara and the other two, who looked like they saw a ghost.

David was the first one talk: "Oliver! Watch out!"

Oliver didn't understand, but he could feel the heat rising behind him and the wind whipping his back. He looked back to see Lizbeth already spinning.

But she was enveloped in fire, crimson red fire. She was moving much faster.

Oliver immediately backed oof.

He never saw something like that.

"That must be her races magic" He said to himself.

The she suddenly stopped. With her left foot ending the spin by ramming it into the ground.

A big blaze of crimson shot up from her foot. Her whole left side was in flames.

Her clothes couldn't take it anymore, so they also began to burn, but it didn't look like Liz cared.

She rushed towards Oliver with half of her clothes gone. He could feel that she got faster, more powerful. He could feel every footstep through the mat.

He couldn't evade that.
