Ambai glanced at it wide eyed.
"How can I even ride it?" she mumbled, holding the small bugger.
"Figure it out yourself." Huyt shrugged.
"A chipmunk!" His guffaws echoed, causing the entire class to glance back at them.
"Tsk Tsk," The devil snickered.
"Shut up," she snarled. She stomped on his feet. "Don't. Laugh. At. Me." Each word was followed by a stomp.
He held his foot and glared at her. "Do I need to remind you of my identity," he growled.
"Do I need to remind you of my identity? I am the PRINCE." She stomped away from him.
Footsteps followed after her. "Hmm, I thought you liked him," Sylus mumbled.
Turning back, she screamed, "I DO NOT LIKE HIM."
"Whoa, okay," he said with his hands in the air.
She picked the little chipmunk by its nape and held it in front of her face. "Bugger, what can you do?" It squeaked and hugged her thumb. "Fine, you are cute." It perked its ear up. "But useless." It slumped.
Pouting, she shuffled over to her room. She plopped on her bed. "I can think about 'Yawn', everything later." she rolled into her duvet and fell asleep.
The little chipmunk climbed onto her face and snuggled into a ball.
Someone scratched her face. She swatted and went back to sleep. But the scratch became persistent.
She tugged awake and pulled the offending hands away from her face. "Why… let me SLEEP."
She opened her eyes to greet a blank white space.
"Where the heck am I now?" she wondered.
It was not completely empty; rather, a kid was sitting next to her and scratching her face. She frowned.
"Oh, you are finally awake." he pulled her up mumbling, "We need to leave this place soon."
Batting my eye, she said, "But seriously, do you have any clue where we are?"
"We are in your consciousness." he gave her a stupid look.
"But why are you here if this is my consciousness?" She said gesturing towards the white space.
"You called for me here remember," He said with a confused look.
"I don't remember asking for a kid,"
The kid just looked like a kicked puppy at this statement. He just hugged her tighter and buried his head in her bosom. "I don't remember anything either. I just heard your call and came here. But if you don't want me, I can go back," the kid said.
They kept walking and walking and walking, but the path was endless.
"So, what is your name?" Ambai whispered.
He looked up at her through his lashes and said, "My name is Fynn, mommy."
Ambai's mouth went wide open. "Wait, what did you call me?"
"I called you mommy," Fynn said with a cheerful smile on his face.
She giggled awkwardly. 'I don't know how to explain to this kid.'
"Um, Fynn, where is your real mommy?"
"Here," he pointed at her and cheerfully walked ahead.
"I guess we are ignoring the topic," she said and followed the kid.
A strange ball of light hovered in the middle of their passageway. 'What a pretty light.' she held it in her palm.
The ball started shining even brighter. The light ball started projecting a vague video on the white space. 'What is this sorcery? This looks so much similar to a projector, fascinating,' she thought as she watched the video.
{" Hahaha Appa, lift me again. Again," the little kid giggled in glee.
"Ambai, Appa's got to go to work now. Why don't you kiss him good luck?" her mother lifted her.
"Okay, Amma. Ummah, Appa good luck on your day," little Ambai waved her father to goodbye. }
"This... this is my memory." An uncontrollable sob racked through her body. "I really miss them."
The little kid tugged at her hand. She let go of the small ball. "Let's go ahead, shall we." She wiped her tears and started walking along with the little kid.
Their path started to get filled with a lot of light balls. As she moved past them, they started projecting her memories. She laughed, cried, and even cringed at some of them. It was an emotional roller coaster. A lot of them were her happiest moments.
The light balls kept reducing as she progressed down my path. After a while, her path was completely clear. 'I guess this is the part of the memory after I died'.
There was not even one single memory as Erudite.
A little black ball hovered in an inconspicuous corner. 'Maybe it's a bad memory. I don't want to remember anything bad. Let me go past it.'
She walked past it, but the ball flew into her hands. It shone Black and a moving image was projected.
{"You deserve this punishment. No, you deserve even worse for falling in love with the demon king," a blond ethereal woman scornfully said towards the white hair woman kneeling on the floor.
Her hair was dishevelled with some of her silver strands burnt; her clothes stained with blood; her open fingernails bleeding. Blood bloomed like a flower around her from her gaping hole in her chest.
"Throw the hellfire," She said. Flicking her sleeves, she walked away from the white-haired woman.
A black flame burnt the woman as she screamed in agony. Shining tears started flowing from her eyes. The tears fell to the clouded floor and instantly disappeared. She was burnt until her entire body was indistinguishable.
"Throw the body from the sky ledge," one of the guys standing in the dark said. And the pitiful woman's body was thrown from the ledge of thunderstorms}
"So cruel," Fynn whispered, looking at the projection. It was indeed very cruel. The woman's face was not seen as her hair hid most of her features.
But what confused her was why this memory was in her consciousness.
She didn't think much about this projection. A bright light shone at the end of the passageway. She walked towards it without any hesitation.
