Their journey continued, but soon they reached their destination. A small palace tucked in between two towering world trees. There was even a magic wisteria plant covering all over it, making it look like a fantasy wonderland. Eru was totally floored. At first, when his father said that they will be training, he had assumed that they would be staying in tents and eating over campfires. Not this.
"This is marvellous uncle," He whispered with a huge smirk.
Lumian nodded. "This place....it is many thousands of years old. It was one of our ancient elders that built this. To protect it from attack, they placed the back milestones all around this property," he said with a nostalgic smirk.
"Wow, how is it still standing," unlike their trees houses that were carved inside the tree, this one was built like an actual tree like those houses from back on earth. Built With planks of wood nudged in-between two huge trees, it looked spectacularly designed. It even had a small chimney on top.
"I think I'm in love," Eru whispered and slowly strode over to the stairs.
"You are in love? You never told me so!" a childish voice exclaimed nearby.
Startled, Eru turned around, coming face to face with a handing Silas. As per instinct, Eru punched him on his face.
"Silas...for god's sake stop hanging upside down around people," Eru whispered, patting his trembling heart. It was like a vision of the ghost from a movie 'grudge' he had once seen back on earth. It brought Goosebumps all over his body.
Holding his red nose, Silas pouted. "Eru~ you always fist bump my face. I feel your love and all butttt..... It hurts," he whispered with a moan.
Eru pouted as well. He lifted the stunned little boy and patted his dirty shirt. "Sorry about that...it was instinctive," he whispered. "Huh...what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be back in Miriafa?"
"i came here to give you emotional support!" Silas said and hugged him tight. 'I heard you were heartbroken so your dad, the king, sent for me to chaperone you,"
"I assure you I'm not heartbroken. And I don't need a chaperone. I am not being courted by anyone.." Eru whispered with a frown.
"Do I not count?" a timbre voice whispered from inside the house. The door opened to reveal a dazzling Deric dressed in all black with an apron. His top few buttons were undone and his sleeves were rolled up. He was holding a small tray cookie with a wash towel. "Oh, let me hand them over to the maid," he whispered and walked into the kitchen.
Eru glanced at his eyes wide. He swiftly pulled Silas closer. "Am I dreaming? Is this what you call a wet dream?" he whispered to him.
"Eru! You have grown," Silas patted his shoulders and dragged him inside. "In fact, this is not a dream. Deric is really here! Oh, your mother begged your father to send him here so that you can kindle some 'feelings.' Are you happy?" he said with an exaggerated smirk.
"I—I don't ...." on his hind sight he caught a glance of two women working about in eth the next room. "Who else is here?"
"Oh, your mother sent Yelli and Deric here and your father sent Kaden. Because Deric is officially a hostage prince, he had to be accompanied by a guard at all times so Kaden is here. He went to pick some firewood to keep the stove going," Silas happily whispered. He had a star stuck look just uttering his crush's name.
"Kaden is also here!" Eru whispered shouted into his ear. 'I can't believe it. The entire trouble troupe is here. What can I do? I don't even have Zhong..no, Rebus here for help,' she thought and glanced up at the cheerful Silas. 'This guy is not reliable at all. Ahhh, mother, why do you have to be so meddlesome?' she nagged her head on his shoulder.
Silas held his head and glanced down. "Watch it. You might scramble your brain," he said and lighted out loud.
"I think it already is,"
Deric walked out and smirked at him. "I never expected I would see you after so long." He said with a sad smile.
Eru grimaced. Last time Deric had hit on him, his answer was quite vague. Now he realised that he might have given false hope to the poor guy. Glancing at his golden shimmering soul, Eru was almost blinded. 'aaa.....lets tell him some other day. He is too cheerful toady. He even baked cookies to welcome me,' he thought with a small blush.
Eru's heart pounded fast. 'Do I have feelings for him as well? This is bad,' he thought, holding his chest.
