CHAPTER 23

*She's the boss's daughter, her name is Kathryn* Alicia said with unsteady hands and eyes that followed the gun that was in his hand,

*and?* Alberto asked expecting her to say a lot more,

*and what?* Alicia replied,

*I don't think you know how this works, I ask you a question and that question needs an answer* Alberto said leaning closer to her, he moved the gun up from her thighs to her cleavage pressing it down,

*you need to say a lot more chica and that means telling me things I already don't know— now talk before things start getting messy* Alberto yelled pressing the gun down on her chest,

*okay okay— would you ease up on the gun* Alicia pleaded,

*better start talking because easing up isn't happening, enough with the games* Alberto yelped, his voice paired with the hard steel gun pressed against her chest sent chills all over her body,

*fucking start talking or I swear to god—* he yelled again pressing the gun farther at her,

*she newly came back from the states she loves clothes and loves buying them but she never leaves the estate alone, Mr Dominic holds her very dearly so twice the bodyguard on her anytime she's leaving the estate* Alicia blurted out in one go without a pause,

*Slow down—* Alberto interrupted taking down the gun from her chest, Alicia took in a deep breath closing her eyes briefly as she exhaled through her mouth,

*Again but slowly this time and make some fucking sense, would you* Alberto said,

*She newly came back from the states where she's been studying for the last couple of years, there were rumours within the house at the time that she was the one he actually wanted in charge not his son and now that she was back, that probably meant he was going to hand everything to her* Alicia replied taking in another deep breath,

*so the daughter holds more value than the son, well that is something you don't see everyday especially not with someone like him—* Alberto replied,

*See, that wasn't that hard—* Alberto teased,

*So where do you come into the picture because maids don't dress like that* Alberto asked,

*not to mention being the plus one to a party like that, you must have secrets of your own* he added with a smile on his face,

*Don't go quiet on me now chica, you don't want to spoil the progress we've made so far * Alberto said placing back the gun on her thighs,

*YES!— you're right please lower the gun* she spat out, she could feel her heart leap into her throat for the second time,

*so what exactly is your relationship?* he asked still resting the gun on her thighs, ignoring her plea,

*I—I—* Alicia stammered choking on her words,

*if you could just lower the gun, I'd tell you everything you want to know* Alicia replied trying to find the right words to describe her situation with Morris, her plea didn't seem to make any difference because the gun wasn't going away, she was ready to tell him everything he needed to know, she wasn't about to take a bullet for Morris or his family, the only person she really cared for was her mother and the resting gun on her thighs made her realise that,

*the gun stays where it is, so you better start talking if you don't want it do more than just rest on your legs* Alberto replied,

*Okay— okay, no problem I'll tell you everything* Alicia said,

*your relationship?* Alberto asked again spreading his legs wide open,

*I was told by Mr Dominic to date his son, he never told me why, it was more like an instruction and I obeyed* Alicia replied still taking quick glances at the gun,

*Why would a man like that want a maid to date his son? Out of the pool of girls he could pick he chose to go with a maid? But then again he wasn't always known for his good decisions from what I've gathered so that kind of explains a lot* Alberto said,

Normally Alicia would have a snappy response but it was in her best interest to remain quiet, so she just nodded in agreement with whatever he said,

*that explains why he hasn't done anything or made a move, seems like they don't care about you very much chica* Alberto teased removing the gun from her legs*

*he made some sort of deal with my mother and I have to always do what my mother says* Alicia added not realising when she blurted that last part out loud,

*what was that now?* Alberto asked leaning back in,

*nothing* Alicia replied very quickly hoping he didn't hear the part of her mother, she didn't want to bring her into this,

*that didn't sound like nothing, speak up now* Alberto fired,

*I said he made some sort of deal with my mother* Alicia repeated out of fear,

*and this mother of yours stays at the estate as well?* Alberto asked

*yes she does, she works there as a maid, she has been with the family for a very long time* Alicia spat out in fear with eyes closed,

*Talk about plot twist—* Alberto replied, removing the gun from her thighs and dropping it on the table,

He whistled out, signalling for someone to come to him,

*take her back to the room at the end of the hall, give her some food and water—* Alberto replied instructing the bodyguard now standing in front of him,

The bodyguard picked Alicia up from the chair and swung her unto his shoulder,

*Good job chica, looks like you'll live to see me again* Alberto said smiling as the bodyguard carried Alicia out of the room.
