|NOVEL UNDER RECONSTRUCTION. DO NOT READ YET| "It was never a bright idea to deceive a vampire. Yet, she did it anyway." Human enslavement at the hands of vampires has been long abolished... for the most part. The two races now live in different regions and keep to themselves. But when Hiln falls on hard times, she masks as a lower ranking vamp and finds herself working within the castle walls of the highest ranking vampire nobles. Things seem to go well until Hiln unknowingly catches the attention of one of these Lords. And nothing will prepare her for the desire and chaos that is to follow. ¬HILN
Startled, I averted my eyes, wondering why he was near Fashire's wing. I thought every prominent vampire would have to be at the conference. Who was that?
I looked back to find he was no longer there. I increased my pace, disturbed. As much as I wanted to believe I was seeing things, I strongly felt that wasn't the case.
We reached the end of the lengthy bridge-like corridor and in front of another fenced gate, which led to another wing. Probably the main one considering it was a far larger building section than the one we just came out of.
It was astonishing how I was able to see this clearly in the dark, but the gloomy void that the gate opened to, proved to be something I couldn't see through.
