Deadly Bargain

|NOVEL UNDER RECONSTRUCTION. DO NOT READ YET| "It was never a bright idea to deceive a vampire. Yet, she did it anyway." Human enslavement at the hands of vampires has been long abolished... for the most part. The two races now live in different regions and keep to themselves. But when Hiln falls on hard times, she masks as a lower ranking vamp and finds herself working within the castle walls of the highest ranking vampire nobles. Things seem to go well until Hiln unknowingly catches the attention of one of these Lords. And nothing will prepare her for the desire and chaos that is to follow. ¬ HILN

"Please…"

I heard wrong. I had to have.

In no reality was this possible in any way.

Or was I dreaming? Was this an after-effect of being snatched back from my eavesdropping?

It wasn't the chilling cold that snapped me to my senses but his low soft wheeze. My thoughts scrambled to understand why this was happening.

Fashire was actually begging. He had begged. Even if it was one word. Even if he wasn't fully conscious in this state. Was what he was going through so unbearable?

Come to think of it, I wasn't sensing anything from him earlier, but aside from the absence of a pulse, there was chaotic disarray within him.

What was I doing? Why was I waiting? I'd be no better if I left him like this.

His fingers began to dig into my skin and I winced. For someone so out of it, he sure had the strength to hold on for his dear life.
