It hurts. It hurts! 

My head, muscles and even my nerve rocked with uncontrollable painful spasms, dimming down my senses to a great extent. 

I had never foreseen this, and once again I have overestimated myself.

Damn it! 

I hissed, dragging my trembling palms across the wall as I wandered through my wing and straight for my bed chamber. The girl ought to have gone earlier for the conference, but what was this nasty scent in the air? 

One that had lingered in the garden connecting my wing to other wings of the castle. It had been that of a young serpentine, but the audacity to enter my premise. 

I gritted my teeth and faltered, nearly collapsing at the great effort it took to even stand. The dark force I had absorbed through that girl was wreaking havoc within me, and even worse, devouring every inch of my essence.
