Chapter 3: A New Day, A New Purpose

As the morning sun gently caressed the city, Elon awoke feeling remarkably refreshed, as though every fiber of his being had been rejuvenated.

He stretched and sat up, a sense of clarity washing over him. "So, it's not a dream after all," he muttered to himself, blinking in awe at the reality of his extraordinary journey.

His mind felt sharp, thoughts flowing effortlessly, and he perceived a heightened awareness of his surroundings.

He walked to the mirror in his room and looked at his reflection.

Glancing at himself, he marveled at the handsome face staring back at him in the mirror.

The striking green eyes that seemed to hold the knowledge of two worlds, the dark, wavy hair that framed his features, and the well-defined jawline - it was all real.

Elon's gaze shifted to his neck, expecting to see the pendant resting there. However, to his shock, it appeared to be missing when he looked at his reflection.

Frowning in confusion, he turned away from the mirror and examined himself directly. To his relief, the pendant was still there, nestled against his chest as if mocking the laws of reality.

"It's as if the pendant is only visible to me," he murmured, a spark of curiosity igniting within him.

The pendant's enigmatic powers fascinated him, and he couldn't help but wonder if it held the key to otherworldly abilities, as well as the secrets of this new reality he found himself in.

Resolving to unravel the mysteries of the pendant later, Elon proceeded to his daily routine.

He brushed his teeth and stepped into the refreshing cascade of the shower. The water seemed to wash away not only the grime but also the last vestiges of doubt and disbelief that clung to him.

After dressing up in simple, comfortable clothing, he ventured into the kitchen, only to find the refrigerator almost empty.

A bag of chips and half a bottle of milk were all that remained. Elon sighed, realizing that his food options were as scarce as his finances.

The memory of being fired from his job yesterday resurfaced, a bitter taste of injustice lingering in his mouth. "Fired for some dumb reason," he muttered under his breath, frustration tainting his voice.

He knew the real reason was favoritism, and the injustice of it gnawed at him.

"I need to find a job, and quickly," Elon resolved, his mind clear and focused on the immediate need for sustenance.

He ransacked his memory for places that might be hiring, but the options seemed limited, especially considering his lack of savings.

To his dismay, the power in the glades had been out for days, leaving his TV screen blank and depriving him of valuable information. "No news, no entertainment," he mused, realizing the dire situation he was in.

"I have to do something about this," he said to himself, standing in the middle of his living room, surrounded by memories of his past life. But now, he had to focus on the present and the future.

As he ate the bag of chips and drank the last of the milk, he pondered his options. The priority was clear - find a job, preferably one that paid daily, to keep hunger at bay.

Leaving his apartment, Elon bumped into Roy, who was walking out of his own dwelling.

The chance encounter surprised him, and he greeted Roy with a warm smile. "Hey, what are you up to this morning?" he asked, trying to act casual despite the whirlwind of emotions within him.

Roy waved in acknowledgment, his eyes bright and demeanor easygoing. "Just going to get some medicine for my mom. She's not feeling too well lately," he replied, a hint of concern in his voice.

Elon's heart clenched at the mention of Roy's mother.

He remembered her illness from the Arrow TV series, a reminder that the events of that world were still to unfold. "Oh, sorry to hear that. I hope she gets well soon," Elon said genuinely.

"Thanks, man. See you later," Roy replied with a nod before continuing on his way.

As the path of fate continued to intertwine, Elon knew he had to focus on his own mission.

He stepped into the busy streets of Starling City, keeping an eye out for any job postings.

The glades were known for companies that would often put up paper posters seeking laborers for various tasks.

After some searching, Elon eventually spotted a tattered poster pinned to a wall. The announcement read:

"Labourers Needed To Load a Shipment of Goods. Good Pay. Inquire at 27 Southbridge Street."

His heart quickened at the sight of the opportunity. Without hesitation, he made his way to the indicated address, hoping that this job could be his lifeline in this unfamiliar world.

With each step he took, the city's pulse beat around him, pulsating with the promise of adventure, danger, and the potential for a new beginning.
