The water on the bathroom floor was due to a janitor forgetting to turn off the faucet properly, which led to Su Jian slipping while using the toilet. The hospital was also responsible for not discovering the issue in time.

Jiang Yan learned of Su Jian's fall and bought a plane ticket overnight to return to Beijing. She was in the ward speaking with Su Jian about holding someone accountable when Zhou Lu came for his rounds.

Unable to contain her anger and without regard for Zhou Lu's identity, Jiang Yan lashed out, "Your hospital is so negligent! If it weren't for my call last night, if anything serious had happened to Ajian, could you bear the responsibility?"

Having been told that it was Zhou Lu who had saved her the previous night, Su Jian felt somewhat embarrassed upon seeing him, as falling in the toilet was not exactly honorable. Moreover, the position she fell in was rather indecent. It was just her bad luck.

The negligent janitor was still at the ward this morning, kowtowing and apologizing to Su Jian, mentioning she had her own elderly and young to care for. Feeling pity for her, Su Jian let her go without demanding any compensation.

Nor did she intend to hold the hospital accountable.

Looking back, Jiang Yan was already embarrassed enough to have called Zhou Lu so late.

Zhou Lu gave her a blank stare, then turned his gaze to Jiang Yan, "Miss Jiang, please take good care of your friend. Or, find her a more reliable attendant next time, so everyone can avoid trouble."

Su Jian's face flushed with embarrassment. She put her hand in front of her face, not wanting him to see her.

Without a doubt, Zhou Lu must think her completely foolish, having managed to slip even while using the bathroom and causing unrest in the hospital.

Jiang Yan's face was filled with displeasure, "Doctor Zhou, what do you mean by that? It's the hospital's responsibility to ensure the safety of its patients. Do you think every patient can afford an attendant?"
