Fear of Impossible

What was I really hearing?

How could the thing I thought was impossible be the thing I'm most afraid of now? Something far beyond my thoughts became the only reason that would scare me now.

"We must do something before Clovis evolves,"

" Actually, we don't think we will, considering Clovis has you now."

Seeing the look of disbelief so clearly, the pair of eyes just stared at the face of the girl sitting next to him. Moreover, there was a dark aura surrounding the girl's body, there was no friendly face like before.

"I'm sorry I hid it from you, Elie,"

"I just don't want you to see the bad side of Clovis and end up leaving him." Carlex said. He held Elie's delicate fingers.

Silence surrounded the three people sitting on the sofa. The two men sitting across from each other exchanged glances after seeing Elie's reaction.
