She's Someone Special To Me

Qian Meigui arrived on time to work. She noticed the office was busier than usual. Staff members were jogging through the room, holding documents, and the phone rang endlessly. A staff member bumped into her, and the papers fell. It was Yang Minzhe.

Qian Meigui reached down to help him, as he appeared to be in a hurry. "What's going on?" she asked. "The president's announcement will be today," he said.

"Today?" Qian Meigui questioned. She knew that she was the one who suggested Song Ren address the public, but she hoped to have her wait a few more days.

"But we're not prepared," Qian Meigui continued. Yang Minzhe shrugged, "We can only hope for the best."

"All right," Qian Meigui responded, determined. Song Ren has yet to address the public about anything. Even with her promotion, she had not been in the public eye. Song Rui valued privacy, and for years, all his children were rarely in front of cameras. Therefore, it's a surprise to everyone in the office that Song Ren would deal with a minor case so publicly. But it was something necessary; it was a warning.

Qian Meigui went to gather some essential executives of the company to witness this moment. She went outside of the building to see Yang Minzhe order a few employees to set up a podium with microphones of various sizes. Reporters and Media outlets have already arrived as soon as they heard, security surrounding the place.

Qian Meigui stood and observed the setup. The announcement would take place in front of skyscraper building — the top floor with the title Song Corporation.

As Qian Meigui approached one of the seats behind the podium, a few reporters approached her. "Who are you?" they asked.

Qian Meigui wore her business clothing with a lanyard around her neck. She couldn't lie, so she said, "I am the legal representative of President Song Ren."

"What is your name?" The reporter asked.

Qian Meigui swallowed hard, "My name is Song Mei," she spoke gently.

The reporter's face changed from curiosity to something like wide-eyed astonishment. "You're the president's sister?" asked he.

"Yes," she responded.

The reported then shouted to his friends, who all carried cameras. They ambushed her with the sound of cameras clicking. "It's Song Mei," one of them shouted.

Qian Meigui instinctively covered her face with an elbow. "No pictures, only videos that concern interviews please."

The reporters were persistent, so she walked away, approaching the other side of the podium chairs, hiding behind the massive pillars. More executives and reporters began to pull in and sat in seats, located in front of the dais.

Yang Minzhe approached in front of the podium and gestured everyone to lower their voices. The crowd quieted, and at the same time, the video cameras rolled.

Song Ren entered the outdoor from the front of the company, wearing a tight dress that hugged all her curves. She wore a matching jacket over her shoulders, rather than wearing the sleeves. She topped her look with a pair of sunglasses, and she approached the podium in heels, calm and collective. Her long black hair swayed behind her, stunning the male-dominated crowd with her extraordinary beauty. Even with sunglasses, they could tell that she was beautiful.

Song Ren stood at the podium, straightening her back. Her father has prepared her for years, for this exact moment. She looked at each member of the crowd, personally remembering each face that was present.

She removed her sunglasses and placed them over her collar, revealing her golden-brown eyes. The sound of cameras clicking and whispers filled the open space.

"Hello," a low and charming voice rang, "My name is Song Ren, and I am the President of Song Pharmaceuticals and Corporation."

Su Feng was playing cards with a group of friends in the home of an acquaintance. One of his friends switched on the local news.

He focused solely on the cards when he heard one of his friends, who were sitting on the couch, said, "Is that the daughter of CEO Song Rui? I thought that the reason why he hid his children was that they were hideous. Who knew he was trying to hide them for this reason."

"Yeah, they wanted to hide her from pervs like you," another friend said.

"If she wants it, she can get it," the man said with a sly smile.

"Same," the other friend responded, also smiling.

Su Feng froze at their words. Song Rui had three daughters, but either way, he did not appreciate the way they spoke about her. Su Feng turned to face the television, his mouth slightly agape and stunned to see Song Ren on the screen. He approached the couch and stared at the girl, his woman.

"Hey Feng, isn't Song Ren, your opponent? Why is your jaw opened? That girl wouldn't fuck you even if you were a prince," his jerk of a friend laughed. His other friends howled.

Su Feng shot a frosty glare at them, the air chilling, his calm anger rose. "I don't see why I hang out with dimwits like yourselves," he said low and deep while already placing on his jacket.

"It's a joke, Feng. Besides, who is she to you?" his acquaintance asked.

"She's someone special to me," he said clear and confidently. Su Feng straightened his collar and left the apartment complex without saying any more. His friends were left stunned.
