Preliminary Matches

Both Cang Yue and Yang Tian were handed over a tablet.

Cang Yue's tablet was 1202, and Yang Tian's tablet was 301.

The two went to their respective arenas and fought several matches.

Nearly all of Yang Tian's opponents gave up immediately. Why should they bother to fight a freak who was at the 3rd Stage of the Earth Profound Realm and decrease their fighting prowess?

No one from the audience jeered at these people. These people had taken the right decision by giving up. It would have been a massive error on their part if they had decided to fight against Yang Tian with only the early or mid-level Spirit Profound Realm. Currently, other than the disciples of the Four Great Sects, who probably held Earth profound weapons or Sky Profound Weapons, in addition to their superior cultivation techniques, not a single person held a chance of defeating Yang Tian.

This wasn't bad in Yang Tian's eyes… He wouldn't need to fight against the useless sheep.

The fact that many of them gave up from the start prevented him from wasting any time.

He went to watch Cang Yue's match, and it appeared that she was winning all the matched until now with relative ease.

Xia Yuanba looked at Yang Tian and spoke with an excited tone, "Woah! Brother Tian, you were so awesome. They gave up before even fighting you!"

Cang Yue had also returned from her match, and she asked Yang Tian with a smile, "You really gave me a pleasant surprise. I never imagined you reached the 3rd Level of the Earth Profound Realm."

Yang Tian shrugged quite casually, "I wanted to surprise you… It seems that I succeeded." As he finished speaking, a small smile appeared on his lips.

As the day had ended… The four returned back to the courtyard assigned to the Blue Wind Imperial Family.

At the courtyard, they saw two individuals already waiting for them there.

Fen Juecheng and Fen Juebi, the sons of the Burning Heaven Clan Master.

Yang Tian had a basic idea about why these fools were here. But still, his face remained indifferent… He knew exactly what he should do next.

"Princess Cang Yue, I have honestly been astonished to see you entering in the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament. Why would you feel the need to enter the tournament when you already have a talented cultivator serving under you."

Although the words by Fen Juecheng seemed respectful on the surface, he was making a low blow on Yang Tian, wanting to emphasise on their statuses.

A somewhat angry look appeared in Cang Yue's eyes as she couldn't tolerate Fen Juecheng disrespecting Yang Tian like that. She was about to say something, but Yang Tian spoke up first, "I don't see how that's any concern of an outsider."

"Brother Tian is right. No matter what I have decided, it should not concern you, Fen Juecheng." Cang Yue was speaking with a decisive tone. She also wanted to make it clear to Fen Juecheng that she did not hold a favourable impression of him.

Fen Juecheng could somewhat tolerate when he heard Yang Tian speaking up against him. However, he was really angered when he heard Cang Yue openly supporting Yang Tian and going against him.

Did this mean that she did not even fear the Burning Heaven Clan behind him?

He had to investigate this matter further.

With that thought in his head, Fen Juecheng looked at Fen Juebi and decided to take his leave right now.

Fen Juebi wanted to say something but held back the words as he wasn't sure if he could defeat Yang Tian in the tournament. It would be humiliating if he said something here and lost miserably in the match…

After the two left, Yang Tian noticed a worried look spreading over Cang Yue's face. He knew what she was worried about right now.

Placing a hand over her shoulder, he said to her with a neutral voice, "You don't need to be worried about the Burning Heaven Clan while I am here."

"Mhm~! Okay, Brother Tian…" Cang Yue said with a relieved yet loving voice.

"Alright, you should take rest now…" Yang Tian told Cang Yue to return to her room.

Qin Wushang and Xia Yuanba went to their respective rooms as well.

The second day was similar to the first one in terms of the result of the matches.

This time, there was indeed a fool who had decided to fight against Yang Tian. Merely a flick from Yang Tian threw him off the stage.

Cang Yue had fought against someone with the 4th Level of the Spirit Profound Realm; however, it still didn't take her long before she defeated her opponent.

This time, as they were returning to their courtyard, on their way, their group of four met up with the 7 ladies from the Frozen Cloud Asgard's Sect.

A solemn look appeared in Cang Yue's eyes as she knew that two out of these women could be stated to be at the top of the hierarchy in the Blue Wind Empire. Chu Yueli and Chu Yuechan… Two of the Seven Fairies of the Frozen Cloud Asgard with the cultivation base in the later stages of the Sky Profound Realm. Well, Cang Yue didn't know, but Chu Yuechan was now at the Emperor Profound Realm though.

Cang Yue planned to remain calm and walk past them.

However, Chu Yuechan seemed to have other plans. She spoke with a neutral voice, "Greetings, Blue Moon Princess."

"G-Greetings, Fairy…" Cang Yue stuttered a bit as she replied to Chu Yuechan.

"There is no need to be nervous. We were merely taking the long way while returning to our courtyard. I suppose you are the same, right?" Chu Yuechan's words were spoken with a hint of warmness within them.

Her eyes moved towards Yang Tian's position. She softly spoke, "I didn't think that the Blue Wind Imperial Family would raise a talent who could break through the Earth Profound Realm at such a young age."

Yang Tian really wanted to laugh as he saw how Chu Yuechan was trying to think all sorts of excuses to talk to him.

Jasmine spoke from within the sky poison pearl with a hint of annoyance, "This woman… She really is too deeply smitten with you. From what I sensed, she could take a shorter route to the Frozen Cloud Asgard's courtyard… But no! She took the longer route just so she could encounter you!"
