Internal battles halted

Cang Yue bid her father goodnight before walking with Yang Tian. Even though she didn't need to, she was walking with him to his house in the Inner Palace of the Blue Wind Profound Palace.

Surprisingly, Yang Tian didn't deny her.

The walk was relatively silent as Cang Yue wanted to speak but didn't know how to start. While Yang Tian didn't want to talk at all…

After they reached his house, Cang Yue said, "Can we meet tomorrow?" She asked, somewhat nervous about Yang Tian's answer.

Yang Tian thought for some time and then shook his head negatively. There was no point in meeting her tomorrow or the next few days.

"I will be focusing on cultivating and practise some skills. I suggest that you do the same as well. Although you are in the Blue Wind Imperial Palace, you can't allow yourself to be weak." He said to her with a serious voice.

Cang Yue nodded her head with a sombre look. Just when she was about to walk away, Yang Tian added, "Take these pills. You will be able to absorb more of the Profound Energy from the surroundings. You would also have an easier time breaking through any bottlenecks you might encounter."

Yang Tian handed her nearly hundred of pills in a jade bottle.

As she sniffed the pills, Cang Yue knew that it was made of rare herbs.

"Don't deny it. If you want to be together with me, you must raise your power." His words were spoken with a casual tone.

But an earnest look appeared on Cang Yue's face as she heard him. She immediately nodded and replied with a determined look, "I won't disappoint you!"

With that, Cang Yue returned to her room and concentrated entirely on her cultivation.

Yang Tian did the same as well. For the next 2 months, he spent most of his time on training. The same was the case with Xia Yuanba.

The Crown Prince Cang Lin and Third Prince Cang Shuo… Their internal battles had suddenly come to a stop.

Cang Lin was quite surprised when there was no attack from Cang Shuo. For nearly half a month, he remained ready to receive an attack from Cang Shuo, but surprisingly for him, it never came.

Cang Lin felt that he had been on the defensive for too long. This time, he mounted an attack and eliminated a lot of people from Cang Shuo's faction in one go.

This time, Cang Lin was sure that Cang Shuo would mount a counter-attack. Yet even after waiting for half a month more, it never came.

He sent his own people to check up what Cang Shuo was up to. And these people returned to inform Cang Lin that Cang Shuo had been in closed-door cultivation since a month ago. Only a selected number of people were allowed to meet Cang Shuo.

After finding out that Cang Shuo was in closed-door cultivation, Cang Lin decided to give a heavy blow to Cang Shuo's faction.

'Since you have dared to go in closed-door cultivation at such a crucial juncture, you should naturally pay the price.' Cang Lin directly spread all his people at different points in the Blue Wind Imperial Palace and slaughtered a lot of people from Cang Shuo's faction.

Not just that, he even came close to killing the Second Prince. The Second Prince somehow managed to save his own life, but he had grave injuries.

Meanwhile, Cang Shuo had heard of what the Cang Lin was doing. However, other than giving a few orders here and there, he was helpless.

After nearly a whole month, Gu Qiuhong finally came to check up on Cang Shuo's condition secretly.

Cang Shuo was incredibly hopeful as Gu Qiuhong diagnosed him. His title as a Medicinal Saint was no joke.

However, after checking up on Cang Shuo, Gu Qiuhong didn't take long before shaking his head negatively.

All of Cang Shuo's hopes came crashing down when he received this response from Gu Qiuhong. This meant that he indeed had no hope now.

He had received a report that in a few days, Fen Juecheng would come to meet him.

'How can I meet Young Master Fen Juecheng in such a pathetic state? Upon seeing me, he is sure to realise the condition of my body. I also can't delay this meeting… Just what should I do?'

This issue did trouble him a great deal.

It has been nearly one and half a month since Cang Shuo was crippled and he had given the excuse of going into the closed-door cultivation.

Even the people from his own faction were confused about what Cang Shuo was doing. After all, Cang Lin was making such moves against them, yet Cang Shuo hadn't even shown his face or attempted to personally guide them.

The entire Blue Wind Imperial Palace was in turmoil!

Yang Tian had bribed a few people within the Blue Wind Imperial Palace who occasionally came to inform him of anything significant that happened in the Palace.

In return, Yang Tian would give them several Purple Gold Coins. To them, it was nothing short of a great deal. They were merely giving out information which would soon be common knowledge to everyone for such an expensive rate. They couldn't help but be proud of themselves.

As he received regular news of nearly all that occurred within the Blue Wind Imperial Palace, a chilly smile appeared on Yang Tian's face.

Check out the other 2 chapters as well.
