Dark Hero in Tate no Yuusha

Vishwa found himself reborn in an anime world known as "The Rising of the Shield Hero" as a Morsan. At the tender age of six, he was bestowed with a cursed weapon called the Great Sword Tizona, a weapon of legendary status crafted by unknown beings. Due to his deep-rooted mistrust in others and the fear of meeting the same fate as his father, who was betrayed by his supposed friends, Vishwa chose to live as a lone wolf. As he grew stronger, he formed a team of slaves to accompany him and together they embarked on a journey to slay ferocious beasts. Along the way, he even lent a helping hand to the shield hero. *** Author's Note: I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my initial Fanfic with all of you, as it marks the beginning of my journey towards becoming a proficient writer. Strange Dream

Morsan lay on the bed and placed his hands on his belly. He asked Tizona, "You said that I was fighting continuously for three days, so why didn't I feel hungry? Can your Life Exchange skill do that?" Morsan was on the verge of falling asleep, and his eyelids fought against his tiredness to stay open.

"That has nothing to do with my skill," replied Tizona. "You didn't feel hungry because your body ate its fill on its own. Whenever it feels hungry without your concern, it feeds itself."

Morsan was puzzled and asked, "What did I eat? How could I have eaten while fighting in the forest for three days without taking a break?"

Tizona kept silent and didn't answer him, which made him feel uneasy. He then asked, "Hey Tizona, did I eat those monster corpses?" His voice trembled a bit.

"Just don't think about it, you did very well to survive," replied Tizona in a caring tone. Although he didn't say anything, Morsan understood what he meant. He felt a strange disgust as he imagined himself eating raw monster corpses without cooking. After a few moments of silence, he shut his eyes.

Morsan was about to fall into a deep sleep when Tizona's voice was heard in his head. "Boy, sorry to disturb you at a time like this, but I believe this is the perfect time for bloodline fusion. Since you have already exhausted yourself beyond your limits, your body won't resist new bloodlines as much as before. Do you want to fuse new bloodlines into your body? I will take care of the process all by myself, so you don't have to maintain consciousness while we do it."

'Tsk, another bloodline fusion thing? Do what you want... just don't disturb my sleep..'

Morsan gave Tizona permission to go ahead with the Bloodline fusion, despite his lack of interest in the matter. He was confused as to why Tizona asked for permission, considering his previous fusion experience. Nevertheless, he was too tired to ask any questions and fell into a deep sleep.

During his sleep, he felt no pain, only a sensation similar to mosquitoes sucking his blood. In comparison to his previous experience, this fusion felt like heaven. However, his sacred DNA code was once again broken and fused with foreign code before mending itself millions of times. This fusion was less painful than the previous one but made more significant changes. His DNA structure was reconstructed, as well as his bone density, nervous system, hormones, and muscle protein structure. His blood veins became broader, and his heart pumped blood at a faster rate, creating a powerful sound.

Finally, his immune system became much more potent. As a result of these changes, his status underwent a massive transformation.

If someone came to his room right now, they could hear his heart beating sound clearly without making any physical contact. Only after 16 hours did the whole process finish, despite that Morsan didn't wake up from his sleep.

Morsan had a peculiar lucid dream, which was a rare occurrence that allowed one's mind to think and remember like in a state of wakefulness while still in a dream state.

In the dream, Morsan found himself inexplicably conscious, standing in the middle of a strange altar with his great sword Tizona in his hand. All he could see in the surroundings was sand and desert. Four different statues were placed on the four corners of the circle-shaped altar where Morsan currently stood in the center.

However, he couldn't see what they looked like clearly as some kind of gray fog prevented him from seeing them. Each statue had a different appearance despite possessing similar-looking drums in their hands, and all four of them had a different sense of presence. Morsan wondered if he was hallucinating and muttered to himself, "Where am I? What is this place?"

An uneasy feeling arose in his heart, and he took a deep breath, reminding himself that it was just a dream. He felt that the dream was shrouded in secrecy and didn't feel entirely his own.

Morsan realized that blindly moving around might lead to danger, so he paused to consider his next steps. Suddenly, he was startled by the sound of beating drums, and when he looked around, he saw that all of the statues had started to beat the drums rhythmically.

Strangely, the loud sounds made him feel calmer as long as he listened to them.

Morsan glimpsed the gray fog similar to that which prevented him from seeing statues aroused all over the altar he was standing. That faint gray fog felt more humid as if they are real, alter beneath his feet felt muddy. Morsan took a look at his feet as he felt a sudden muddiness sensation.

'Blood?'

He frowned when he saw that blood oozed from his great sword Tizona to alter. At the same time thick grey fog formed into a lot of figures, they were crimson and devoid of skin, and their muscles, blood vessels, and fascia were exposed. They wore attire similar to that of tribal people. Morsan could only able to identify their gender based on their attire and females wore some kind of leaf around their chest.

Some of them held tiny figures in their arms which had a strange appearance to them, devoid of any skin on their body. He felt goosebumps with a chill sensation on his back as he was that tiny figure crying in agony.

'Is that a baby?!'

All of those fog figures were speaking something between them without stepping center of the altar. By watching their behavior Morsan concluded that they couldn't see him.

While he wondered, who they were and why they avoided getting near the center where he was currently standing, the pool of blood from Tizona gathered at the center of the altar.

After talking between them, female figures with little creatures in their arms, which Morsan thought as a baby, gathered at the center.
