Side-Story: Meeting Koroka

{A/N: Dante is currently 12 and I made Koroka two years older than he making her 14.}

One day while Dante was in Kyoto on a mission to exterminate some stray yokai that have been killing and eating humans he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He looked over and saw two mid-class devils chasing a girl that looked about 14, she had long black hair, white skin that seemed shriveled due to exhaustion and starvation, violet eyes, and curiously enough cat ears and a tail the same color as her hair. The two devils chasing her seemed to be closing in on her as she crashed into an alleyway.

{A/N: Calling them Devil 1 & 2 because they wont survive long anyways.}

Devil1: "Damn, bitch! You gave us so much trouble, as compensation you should help relive our stress before we kill you." He smirked lustfully.

Devil2: "Yeah, because of this damn mission to chase you I haven't fucked a bitch in weeks. You are going to repay us with interest." He had the same look as his compatriot.

Seeing them closing in the girl tried to crawl away, when Dante finally got a good look at her face he realized that is was Koroka! The older sister to Koneko, formerly Shirone. When exhaustion caught up to her, she was unable to resist as they were about to ravage her. When Dante saw this his expression turned cold and put on his Corvo mask and assassin gear before dropping down in between Koroka and the two devils. "I believe that is far enough, this girl is coming with me. You two can run on back to your master or die, your choice." When they saw Dante's appearance they paused but when they heard his words their anger got the better of them and they rushed him.

Dante didn't move he just took out the folding blade because scum like these two weren't worth any of his royal or devil arms. Devil1 tried to slash him with a sword made from devil energy but Dante just redirected the blade and lacerated all the muscles in both his arms and legs in a flash before kicking him away. Devil2 thought he was distracted so he tried to hit him with a mace, but Dante just lacerated his body the same as his partner. After he called out the Trident of the Oracle and used its passive ability that Luna told him about to heal Koroka. When she saw his mask, she tried to crawl away, "Shh, shh, don't worry I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to help. I heard about what happened and why you killed your master. Just wait there for a minute while I throw out the trash." Seeing that she calmed down he gave her a nod and turned his attention back to the 'trash'.

Devil1: "Why are you doing this? She is just a nekoma bitch! They were made to serve and die just like the animals they are! You should have just joined us w…" before he could continue Dante cut off his tongue and castrated him before making him an eunuch. Dante was beyond pissed at this point, no one deserves to be treated as an animal just because of their birth.

While Devil1 was crying out in agony Dante did the same to Devil2. He called out Fierce in his Cor form and said, "Grab them, I need to tell Sirzechs about this and clear Koroka's name." Cor just gave a simple nod with a stone face because he two was disgusted with these two devils. Turning back to Koroka he said, "Come with me, we will be sending these two bastards to their master and while we are there we will clear your name, and if they don't drop their charges then I will tell them that hurting you is a declaration of grand offense against me." Koroka was hesitant at first but seeing how he treated the devils her trust in him grew. Slowly she grabbed his hand and he held it gently as he pulled out Yamato and cut open a portal to Sirzechs' personal office.

Sirzechs and Grayfia were both on guard when they saw a slash-shaped portal appear in the middle of the office. But they were even more surprised when a boy that is wearing a dark cloak and mechanical mask holding hands with an SS-ranked criminal walk through. Alongside them was a man in his late twenties holding the bodies of two bloodied devils.

Sirzechs: "Who are you and what are you doing here!?" he demanded.

Dante let go of Koroka's hand and turned to Cor, "Drop the trash in the corner and go back. I need to have a little chat with Zechs." Cor just gave a nod and dropped the devils in a corner of the room very unceremoniously before going back into Dante's inner world. Turning to the devil king and his queen he had Koroka sit down next to him on the couch in front of the Sirzechs' desk.

Dante: "I would appreciate it if you would stand down as I didn't come here to fight, Sirzechs Lucifer and his queen/wife Grayfia Lucifuge, you know of me but no myself personally. I am here to discus the charges against the nekoma Koroka."

Sirzechs and Grayfia were still on guard but they dispelled their attacks.

Sirzechs: "You said we know of you. I don't remember us ever meeting."

Dante gave a nod and threw his card onto Sirzechs' desk. When they saw the card they both went stiff.

Sirzechs: "So you are the white reaper, ironic since your cloak is black. Now why are you concerned with the SS-ranked criminal Koroka?"

Dante: "I am here because she is innocent. Unknown to you but her former master was experimenting on nekomas he kidnaped and was trying to use them to make a small army of super devils. Koroka was a victim of this and she held on because he was taking care of her little sister, you should know her. Her old name was Shirone, but I believe you know her as Koneko."

Sirzechs was shocked, he never knew about the experimentation, nor that Koneko was related to Koroka.

Grayfia: "That doesn't explain why she killed her master."

Dante: "She killed the bastard because when she stopped showing improvements, he was planning to ship her off to a brothel to be drugged and used as a fuck-doll while he continued his experiments with her little sister if she didn't die before that is. As someone with a little sister yourself I imagine you can relate to an older siblings' willingness to go to the extremes to protect their younger siblings."

Sirzechs gave a nod but had a grave expression. Before he could comment Dante spoke again,

Dante: "To be honest I found out about the experiments when I interrogated a devil that I found kidnaping yokai and he told me about how the noble was planning to start experimenting on different yokai to see if he could get a similar result. When I got there Koroka was on her last leg and if it weren't for the fact that I was being hunted by a dragon at the time that entire pillar would have gone missing minus the devil king Ajuka because when he found out about this he was detested because they wanted him to cover it up and he refused. Here are the files and research I salvaged from the lab, there should be enough evidence to clear her name, also if that doesn't work then tell them that I will personally kill any and all that come to hunt her down and their closest associates, and if it is a servant then I will kill the master. Since I couldn't save the nekomas then I will at least protect the last few remaining. Do you have any objections, or do I need to put a blade to your neck?"

Sirzechs looked over the files and was disgusted at the measures the scientist took for their research.

Sirzechs: "No, I will clear her name and if the Elders don't accept it then I will pass on your message. Also, I have been curious, do you have a name we can call you by?"

Dante: "Nods* Yeah, you can call me Corvo. You have my number, I look forward to the good news. Let's go Koroka."

Koroka was shocked about how things were happening, first she is saved by some strange boy. When he mentioned freeing her back when she almost gave up she remembers seeing a black phantom that helpred her and Shirone escape, he left Shirone at the Gremeory household only saying 'she will be safe here.' before taking her to the human world near the yokai faction in Kyoto where he healed most of her wounds but due to the mental exaustion all she remembers was his mask before she passed out, when she awoke she found an envelope that had hundreds of thousands of dollars and a note that said, 'If you want to find Shirone then work hard to become strong enough to protect her properly. Until then I wish you luck.' Later she finds out that she was blammed for her former master's murder and was hunted down making her fight to survive. Then when she was once again on her last rope this mysterious boy saved her again and now she is right in front of the same devil king that is in charge of her bounty then she hears that it is going to be voided, she was still in shock and unable to process what had happened then she hears the boy say, "Let's go Koroka" and she numbly follows him as he cuts open a portal and they walk through.

When they came out of the portal they were in Dante's office in the Devil's Golden Crown. Dante had Koroka sit down and he walked over to his desk and pushed a button. "Yes master?" Koroka looked at the woman that just came in and could sense nothing from her which concerned her, because even regular humans have some kind of feeling.

Dante: "Ah, yes Jane, can you please bring me some of my usual and bring our guest some warm soup, a glass of tea, and some clothes for myself and my friend."

Jane: "Of course master. It will be done within 15 minutes, if you would please wait." Giving a bow she walked away.

Koroka looked at him and asked, "You said your name was Corvo, but I for some reason doubt that is your real name. Who are you and why did you save me?" Dante chuckled at her questions.

Dante: "You are a clever little kitten, aren't you? Well you're right, Corvo isn't my name, my name is Dante Michels Gregori, and before you freak out that is my adoptive name, my adoptive uncle is Azazel Gregori. The reason I saved you is because I know what it is like to be a source of entertainment, having to suffer while another just laughs at your pain. I didn't want a young and beautiful girl like yourself to have to know such things but I arrived too late to save you properly, so I swore to myself to protect you and your sister until you both no longer desire my presence or you can defend yourselves."

Koroka: "Why did the devil king seem nervous when you gave him that card?"

Dante: "Hahaha, that is because to make money I became a mercenary for all 3 factions, but I am not desperate because if you didn't notice we are in a 5-star restaurant/hotel called The Devil's Golden Crown, and I own this fine establishment. So, I choose my clients during my mercenary work, also the reason he was nervous is because I started when I was 11, and my first ever mission was to kill a high-grade high-class stray devil that was killing indiscriminately. I killed the devil and dropped the head off at the Devil King's front door, after my credibility was unquestioned and my 100% mission completion rate may have something to do with it. Currently I am 12 and I can probably bring a fight with a mid-grade ultimate class to a draw with some serious injuries. That is the reason they both fear and respect me."

Koroka was shocked, a boy her age but he could fight ultimate class beings.

Koroka: "Train me" she said in a meek voice that almost couldn't be made out.

Dante: "What was that?"

Koroka: "Train me to become strong. I don't want to always be saved and protected. I want to be able to protect myself. I can offer myself if you need payment, I don't mind as long as you protect Shirone while training me." she hesitantly tried to take off her shirt by slowly doing the buttons, but before she could undo the second her shirt was rebuttoned and she was now draped over Dante's knee.

Dante: "I didn't save you just so I can savor your body like those bastards I killed in the ally. *Spank!* Do you honestly think I would help you if I just wanted your body! *Spank!* Huh? *Spank!* You will not ever let me hear you offer yourself to another person so long as I am alive is that clear! *Spank*" Dante was livid, he saved Koroka to care and love her not indulge in her.

Koroka was tearing up at his words, sure the spanks hurt but the emotion behind his words showed that he truly did save her to care for her. 'He can rival an ultimate class, why would he need to save me? He could have just killed those devils then ravished me himself, but he went and threatened the Elder Council of the Underworld to null my bounty. He truly wants me for me! How could I insult his kindness by assuming he just wanted my body?' While Koroka was dwelling in these thought she started to slowly cry. Seeing this Dante let out a long sigh and lied down on the loveseat in his office with Koroka on his chest gently caressing her head and slowly rubbing her back. "I am sorry about my outburst. I just don't like to see other people offer themselves up so willingly just to meet an end result of their liking. I saved you because I respected your true intentions, an older sister that would kill her master just to save her sister from being a lab-rat, then leaving her there so it doesn't seem like she was involved while taking all of the heat so her sister can appear to be an innocent bystander and be pitied by the devils and saved. To hear such a strong and loving girl offer herself again just to protect her sister made something in me snap, I couldn't hear those words and even if you hated me or blamed me for not coming sooner I would still protect you from the shadows until you could grow strong enough on your own. To be honest, when I read your file, I was infatuated with your courage, but when I saw your face and the unwillingness to give up and leave your sister, I truly fell in love you know that. Koroka, I am willing to train you, but you have to promise me something…" Koroka looked up to see him have a gentle expression with serious eyes, "Whatever you want I will deliver." Dante shook his head and said, "No matter what happens I want you to promise me that you will remember that your own life still has worth, even if you never love yourself, remember that there will always be people that will be devastated to see you die. Promise me that you will live, if you can't find a reason, then remember Shirone, and if that isn't enough remember that I do and always will love you." Koroka teared up but still nodded, "I promise." Dante gave her a gentle smile and shocked her once more when he gave her a kiss, not one of lust or sexual passion, no this kiss was only full of love. Koroka didn't push him away and instead returned the kiss. "Remember, even if there is no light my love for you will always be there. If you are in the abyss and can't find a reason to live, then remember that I will be your reason for I will always love you." It was Koroka's turn to shock him because she crawled up to where her head was resting on his shoulder and pushed aside his clothes and left a clearly shaped bite on his shoulder, "I have marked you as mine now Nya." She had the look he was looking for, that lovingly playful look that showed life.

After a while Jane showed up and just quietly set the things Dante asked for on his desk because she saw that Dante was asleep with Koroka on his chest sleeping soundly, "Sleep well master." She whispered as she walked out.

Over the years Dante trained Koroka to the level of a high-grade high-class by the time he was 16. Their relationship improved over the years and she was the one that approached him about the idea of a harem claiming that she probobly couldn't handle his stamina by herself. She also managed to get proper senjutsu and tenjutsu teachers from the yokai living in Kyoto after voiding her bounty. She became the second member of Devil May Cry and takes on jobs that Dante either doesn't want to do or is just to busy to do, but she must still have his permission to take on certain missions. Her bounty was nulled but the news of this wasn't shared past the noble class devils to save face for the Elders.
