Chapter 6

After delivering several kisses to Gary’s face and lips, Neil lifted up slightly. “You’ve grown into the responsible, kind, handsome man I knew you had the potential to be.”

“I’m not handsome.” Gary shook his head.

“You’re the one with the education, but I think I remember reading—it might have been on the back of a box of cereal or something—about how gods are meant to be infallible. So what they say, goes, right?”

“Uh…” Gary’s mind was a whirl. He didn’t expect to be having a theological—or was it mythological—discussion with Neil, at least not in his bed, just before he was about to…

“If I’m a god—which we can argue about later—then when I say you’re handsome,” Neil kissed Gary’s lips, “then you’re handsome.” He kissed him again.

“We can argue about that later, too.” Gary said, but he was smiling.

Neil made to roll off Gary, but Gary stopped him. “Love having you on top of me. Makes me feel safe.”

Neil stayed where he was and the two of them exchanged a few lazy kisses.
