[Chapter Size: 1800 Words.]
Third Person POV
Orario.
...
...
As the battle unfolds, the entire city of Orario is united in a feeling of astonishment and curiosity. Lucius, the solitary mage on the battlefield, has become the center of attention, a topic that transcends all other conversations. Each new move of his is followed by a chorus of sighs and exclamations from the spectators. When he launches another ball of Chrono Chaos, triggering a wave of energy that sweeps his opponents, the audience reacts with a mix of shock and admiration. When he teleports to avoid a blow that seemed certain, they marvel at his agility and foresight. Orario, a city accustomed to heroes and legends, finds itself mesmerized by this new enigma, this mage whose power seems unlimited and whose story is only beginning to be written. And as Lucius continues to fight, each of his moves is etched into the city's collective memory, each spell and counterattack becoming part of the fabric of its history. He is no longer just a mage from a small rising family; he is a phenomenon, an event that no one in Orario will ever forget in this era.
The gods watch with a mix of surprise, concern, and admiration as Lucius continues his solitary battle. Each reacts in their own way, reflecting their personalities and interests. Apollo, usually so confident and cheerful, is on the brink of despair. He watches, powerless, as Lucius dismantles what remains of his family. "How is this possible?" he murmurs, his voice a reflection of his disbelief and frustration. "This arrogant mortal is beyond anything I expected." Heimdall, known for his imposing and proud stance, has a grave expression. He sees his own adventurers, powerful and well-trained, being defeated by a single man, one that he expelled from his family for being what he considered the weakest adventurer in Orario's history, but with the potential shown by Lucius in recent months, he wanted him back, but now with the war game taking this turn. "I can't believe this is happening..." He tries to deny reality.
Hestia, on the other hand, cannot contain her emotion. Her heart is filled with pride and joy as she sees Bell and the others watching, safe for now, while Lucius fights. "Lucius!" she exclaims, a mix of excitement, "You always save the day!" She begins to cry with joy. Beside Hestia, Hermes watches with an intense and calculating gaze, he is fascinated by Lucius's powers. "Interesting," he comments, more to himself than to others. "This mortal has abilities that go beyond the ordinary. Did he discover something that we gods are unaware of? Who are you really, Lucius Ranekard?" Beside him, his captain listens attentively, sharing a meaningful look with Hermes, knowing he is already planning his next actions.
The battle that Lucius waged is now approaching its climax. The remaining adventurers from the Heimdall and Apollo Families, despite their superior number and levels higher than this mage, are clearly exhausted and overwhelmed, their morale is no longer the mockery of the beginning. Their ranks have been decimated, and those who are still standing fight with a mix of despair and fury, knowing that their chances of victory are nil at this moment, with only 7 members still standing. Lucius, on the other hand, remains a figure hovering over the area. His mana seems inexhaustible, and his mastery over magic is such that each new spell he casts seems more powerful and precise than the previous one, he showed that he can cast spells with just a thought.
"Let's end this." Lucius decides, and he teleports to an even higher altitude of 200 meters with 4 consecutive teleports. "What is he doing-Nyah?" Carina commented a little alarmed, her thirst for revenge now turned into fear, even her captain had that feeling, everyone feared Lucius at that moment, and seeing him act in this way moving away to an even higher location, they knew he was going to do something even greater.
Suddenly, the mana particles in the air begin to come to life, Lucius has initiated his Mana Zone ability. Then, a radiant illumination emerges in the field around Lucius, expanding rapidly to form a majestic circle of light 250 meters in the air. The light is intense but not blinding; it's not a pure manifestation of the mage's magical power, but as if the mage, with a command or more like a partnership, made the magic in the air work with him at that moment. The magical particles cannot obscure the sunlight behind Lucius, but they give a mystical aspect with lights of various colors like a small beacon, standing out against the backdrop of the castle and the sky, drawing all eyes to his central figure.
The mana particles, now fully active, dance within the zone created by Lucius, moving in complex patterns that seem almost choreographed. They begin to move towards the mage like a milky way.
"That, he's using that again, what he did to kill Amphisbaena!!" Tiona exclaims with bright eyes.
"Yes..." Riveria says with her tone of admiration again seeing that magical spectacle again.
"What is that!" Lefiya jumps from her sofa, she was very disturbed by Lucius's powers, which she knew at level 1 as a common mage, but in two months he surpassed her and has magics that not even her teacher knows, but what she was seeing being very sensitive to magic left her speechless, she never imagined that someone could take magic from the air and use it to their advantage.
"This..." Even Finn, always analytical, cannot help but look incredulous, he had heard from Riveria and Tiona what happened on the 27th floor, but seeing it personally was something surprisingly even for the infamous Finn.
"Is this strong, captain?" Tione asked, seeing the captain's expression.
"This mage really knows how to surpass himself..." Even Bete acknowledged Lucius's abilities.
The narrator beside Ganesha pauses for a moment, his expression of astonishment clear even behind the microphone. "What are we seeing, dear viewers? Lucius seems to be manifesting bright lights around himself, creating something I've never seen before, but it's spectacular!"
"I AM GANESHA!"
In the streets of Orario, the crowd murmurs with a mix of confusion and fascination. "What is that? What does it mean?" asks a young woman, her eyes still fixed on the sky where Lucius floats. "Is it some kind of secret technique? Something that only powerful mages can do?" another citizen speculates.
A group of adventurers discusses among themselves. "I've never seen anything like this before. He must have a special ability," says one of them, clearly impressed.
The deities exchange looks of surprise and curiosity.
"Hestia, what is your son doing? What is that?" One of the deities couldn't resist and asked Hestia.
"Hmm... it's my son's secret..." Hestia speaks nervously, she was equally surprised as her peers, she had never seen Lucius do this.
"It's so beautiful..." Aphrodite murmurs, watching the spectacle.
In the castle, the last 7 adventurers of Heimdall along with Hyakinthos looked with fear at that.
"Hey, this looks dangerous. What does he plan to do?"
"I don't know, but we better do something."
"Do something? We better run!"
"He's right, we should get out of here now!"
On Bell's side, Ryuu was the first to act.
"We shouldn't be here, we need to leave!" She had a tone of urgency, and everyone agreed with that, feeling the danger of something that Lucius was planning with that thing he's doing, concentrating mana on himself.
"It's similar to my Argonaut ability," Bell recognized as they immediately left the area.
The members of the Heimdall and Apollo families, realizing the imminent danger, desperately try to move away from the area, but the speed and magnitude of Lucius's magic overwhelm them. The air around the castle begins to vibrate with increasing intensity as the balls of Chrono Chaos multiply, each pulsating with potentially devastating energy.
Loras, the captain of the Heimdall Family, watches the scene horrified. "What is this!?" he shouts, unable to hide his fear as he watches at least 100 balls of that destructive magic filling the sky. He knew that such powerful magic and in such quantity could mean their ruin.
Lucius, with a calm and determined expression, watches his creations floating around him. "It was a good fight, but it ends here." His voice is low, almost a whisper, but it carries an unwavering resolution speaking to himself. With a graceful movement, he extends his open hand towards the castle, and at that moment, the blue spheres shoot towards their target like a swarm of furious comets. The spells hit the castle and its surroundings with overwhelming force. Violent explosions and waves of temporal distortion sweep the area, making the ground shake and structures tremble. The impacts are so powerful that pieces of the castle begin to disintegrate, towers crumble, and walls crack and collapse under the force of the magic.
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM*
The adventurers from the Heimdall and Apollo Families, caught in the storm of destruction, struggle to maintain balance, are swallowed by the impacts, while others try in vain to protect themselves. Shouts of surprise and fear mix with the continuous roar of the explosions. The streets of Orario, once filled with attentive spectators, are now taken by a wave of shock and horror. The citizens watch, open-mouthed and incredulous, as the castle that had an imposing structure begins to unravel before their eyes. "What has he done..." a man murmurs, his voice lost in the cacophony of shocked reactions.
The castle collapsed in front of Lucius, raising a wave of smoke and destruction; in the heights, Lucius remains floating, observing the destruction he caused. His face remains impassive, but his eyes reflect the seriousness and the weight of his actions. He knew what this meant - the final and definitive demonstration of his power, an act that would forever change the way he is viewed and remembered in Orario. The silence that follows is filled with an echo noise, broken only by the gentle wind blowing over the land marked by battle.
The citizens of Orario and the gods watch with a mix of admiration and fear. As the smoke from the wreckage is swept away by the wind, the site is shown in complete ruin with everyone buried by Lucius's power without anyone resisting. Lucius is not just a winner; he would become a symbol of power from this day on. The spectators are mute, each one processing the meaning of what they have just witnessed. As Lucius finally descends and lands gently on the ground, the battlefield is quiet, the gazes of everyone in Orario fixed on him, the undisputed hero of the day. The war is over, and the victory is his. The city of Orario will never be the same in this era.
