"The news?" Ae Cha asked with a slight frown on her face, her husband rarely ever asked her about that, he knew that she really didn't care about what the news said or didn't say
"Yes the news he repeated" in a calm tone
One thing that couldn't be denied was that Tae Hyun loved his wife so much which was why Eun Bi felt it was strange that such love wasn't extended to her
"Is there something, in particular, you would love me to see in the news?"
"Of course!!" he exclaimed
If her husband was this happy, she knew it had to be business-related he was never this happy
"Okay... Chairman Park had an interview"
"And..."
"And he has announced working in the rail line construction project with us, he is going to invest in us and your daughter just made that possible"
"Our daughter honey 'our' daughter" she repeated
"Whatever, you have to convince 'our' daughter to make this work, I don't know how you want to pull that but she has to agree to this, what better way exists for her to show her appreciation for what we've given her"
"Tae Hyun!!!" she called out in anger dropping the pot of oat on the tabletop angrily.
"It is your responsibility to take care of your child, love don't cost a fee neither does parenting"
"Whatever, just make this work, there is no other option, I would grant whatever request you make and you know that I love you that much but this is one request I won't grant, she has to get married to the Park's," he said stomping out of the kitchen to get ready for work, he had arranged for a board meeting by 2:00 pm to discuss how to move the company forward and the new partnership.
AT THE PARK'S CORPORATION
Man Shik sat in his office facing his father who had stopped by to check on the business proposals submitted by various companies to find out which was worthy of consideration.
Man Shik had never been a good fan of his father's cunning ways but had not Man Shik being a better businessman than his younger brother, he could have made that one CEO.
His younger brother understood business politics and how to get what he wants at all cost but Man Shik didn't get all he wanted at all cost, he simply got it on how hard he worked for it and he has been successful in many deals and just a few were big hits, he wanted majority at least to be a huge hit and not just a few.
"So... You say it is the Yang girl?" his father asked as he skimmed through the proposals
He couldn't find anything worth his time and energy
"Hmmm," Man Shik said without voicing out.
"Have you seen our shares, during this past week?"
"Hmmm"
"I think it's time you start opening your mouth to communicate Man Shik!"
"Okay father, I am busy and apparently what I'm about to do is very important so if you don't mind, I would like to get back to work"
"Fine!!! Whatever, you do know that the rail project is going to make waves and I need you to keep that in mind" he said walking out of his office in anger, he had been a bit hesitant to get married to Yang's daughter, he hadn't even agreed to see her even once.
Man Shik stopped what he was doing for a moment to stare blankly in his office, his well-furnished office was something he liked about the entire building, the office had a couch in another partition of the office which had a television, fridge and some other things, that made it seem homely, the air-conditioning was awesome which was just how he wanted it, cold like his attitude, at least that was how he wanted to be seen.
He moved over to the other side of the office, picking up a little ball that he liked to play around with any time he wanted to think.
"Arrgggg" he grunted in anger, the marriage of convenience was what he never wanted but his mother's mental health was of paramount concern in his life, his father was the devil's son and he knew that he doesn't make empty threats.
He threw the ball to the black and white painted wall, which was his favourite colour, he spent hours trying to think of how he could go into a marriage of convenience within a space of some weeks, the last thing he wanted was for any girl to suffer, he was the sought after CEO, lots of Elite girls wanted him, plus he trusted in his looks.
He could have easily gotten any girl he wanted, especially the actress he had gotten his eyes on for some months now, he just didn't feel prepared to make such a move and now that he was prepared, his life was about to come to an end.
With how people saw him, as the cold handsome CEO, he had expected a lot of ladies to piss off but it only attracted them more to him.
phew! the Yang's daughter, he had no idea why he picked her of all the options his father brought, perhaps it was her eyes
He quickly shoved the thoughts of her off his mind.
