Killing a ‘God’ & Heal her Eyes

"Shinigami, I think I should use that blade against this thing." I say as I look at Shinigami who all three can see, even Miko as she had to take off her glasses to deal with this as well as these monsters can hurt the living here even if you can't see them.

"Oooo, you wanna use that blade? Alright, but I hope you know what your doing." She says before she opens her mouth which I reach in as the others watch a bit surprised my arm physically disappeared inside her mouth before I slowly withdrew from it and Yamato appeared in my hands.

"Alright, let's deal with this thing, and save your questions till we're done here." I say as I pointed the blade at the giant beast before us as I took the lead with Romm and Mitsue following behind, in the meantime Miko will find a way into the shrine while the God and the Shrine Spirits are distracted.

*KKKKRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!* the god shrieks a terribly loud shrill like howl, it clearly wasn't happy that the girl was not gonna hold up her end of the bargain.

But before it and the Shrine Spirits could go and collect their payment they had to deal with the trespassers that were in their way, so they went on the offensive.

Romm and Mitsune were holding back the Shrine Spirits, I was busy with the Shrine God, but unlike the mindless ghosts who just came at me and died in the process, the Shrine God was hesitating as it knew I was dangerous, but I could tell it's bell like eyes were looking directly at my sword in trepidation.

And of course it would, Yamato is a very powerful blade that in the right hands could kill a god if the right conditions are met, a real god that is, but in its current state it can easily kill a false god like the one before me.

Now while I was still fat and my strength was average for a normal person, my speed thanks to my boosted Agility stat is nearly five times as fast as a normal person so I could at least use Yamato a little bit properly.

Though not at the level of Vergil's level as he was at the minimum a hundred times faster than a normal human to attain his insane movement feats but I was still able react faster than the giant monster before me.

So tensing up my leg muscles I ran towards it which it retaliated by swiping its claw like arms at me, but I just swiped my blade back at it faster than it could react as I cut off its massive hand.

*KKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!* it screamed out in pain before seemingly getting extremely angry and decided to lean upwards to reveal its bell wielding chest where from within a swarm of arms burst outwards towards me in hopes of grabbing.

"Fat Chance Monster!" I called out as I let the Anti-Spiral energy from within my body coat Yamato before I began to rapidly spin to turn it into a rotating blade of death as it cut apart and disintegrated the hands that were charging at me.

*!!!!* suddenly it stopped its onslaught on me and turned towards the shrine and looked directly at Miko who had finally reached the entrance in all the chaos.

"MIKO!!! Get in there and destroy the relic that keeps it bound to this world!" I shout out before jumping at the god while it was distracted and cutting off its leg as a result.

*NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!* it cried in pain and terror at its leg being cut off while trying to reach out to stop Miko.

This made one Shrine spirit to give up fighting Romm to go and attack Miko, but suddenly the other shrine spirit that was attacking Mitsune before had suddenly changed sides at the last moment and attacked the Shrine Spirit about to harm Miko.

And because of that it gave Miko enough time to reach the pedestal safely to grab the relic which seemed to be a human skull, which scared her, but she just held it before smashing it down onto the ground, shattering its brittle bones.

*CRACK!!!* it was almost like seeing the glass on a mirror cracking on the shrine god making it extremely weak and frail, thus giving me an opening.

"Your done!" I shout out before leaping into the air and slamming my blade through its back, causing the glass like shell of a body it had to begin to shatter as it fell to pieces as hundreds upon hundreds of trapped lost souls began to flow out of the God in the shape of small bells, the same bells it had been holding within its chest before their were none left besides two.

One the spirit of a Shinto Shrine Maiden and the other the true appearance of the other Shrine Spirit that helped save Miko who was none other than Mitsunes old teacher and the mother figure of Romm, Towako Oka.

I won't go heavily into the details as frankly it was nearly a 1 to 1 recreation of the parting scene from the manga between Romm, Mitsune, Towako and the Shrine Maiden so I didn't bother to much about it and went over to check up on Miko.

"You okay?" I go over to her and see her breathing heavily as the situation was both stressful and terrifying to say the least.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine…." But she wasn't that fine as I could see her shivering from seeing all this stuff, meanwhile I handed Yamato back to Shinigami who proceeded to 'swallow' it before putting it back in my inventory.

"Well things will only get better when we get out of here, now hold onto my arm, the Shrine Maiden is fading away, with her being gone this space will cease to exist before throwing us out." I hold out my arm, and her seeing how knowledgeable I am, agrees and grabs onto my arm just when-

*SHATTER! WOOSH!*

We are all thrown out of the other dimension and back into the woods from where we once came before we dusted ourselves off and looked around.

"Well, looks like our work here is done, I'm particularly happy with this outcome of ours, though I do want to ask you questions but it's not really any of my business what you do for the most part." Romm says as he pats off his pants from any dust that got on him as he looks at me before shrugging it all off.

"Although if you don't mind, I do wish to see how your going to help young Miko here with fixing her eye problem in a more permanent matter, like you mentioned in the van on the way here." He says looking at me a bit more intrigued to see how I would fix that.

"You can fix the young lasses sight boy?" Mitsune was more surprised I knew how to do something like that.

"Yes well, unlike you two who were born with it, Miko clearly wasn't and when I noticed the glow in her eyes and the constant state of them being in a watery state it became clear to me that her eyes are none other than Mystic Eyes, better known as the Eyes of Truth." I go onto explain.

"The Eyes of Truth?…. Hmmm, why does that sound familiar…. Master do you know what those are?" Romm says as he turns to Mitsune who seems to be thinking deeply about it.

"Hmmm…. I have heard whispers here and there of that, but I thought that was just rumors…." Mitsune was genuinely surprised I mentioned it.

"Well it might be rare for someone to just suddenly activate them, but it's not impossible, so Miko, will you let me help fix your eyes?" I say to them as I turn to look at Miko to see what she wants me to do for her.

She then nodded her head, "Please Yamada-kun, please help me fix my eyes."

I nodded, "Alright, but I need you to cover your eyes with your hands alright, and I'm going to place my hands over your ears and my thumbs on top of the back of your hands." I say which she nods as she closes her eyes and covers them with her hands while I place my hands over her ears while leaving a gap between my fingers so she can hear my voice.

"Alright now I will warn you, fixing this will be painful, it will feel like your eyes are burning, but it's the sign it's working to fix it, so listen to my voice and do as I say." I tell her as she nods as she's determined to get herself fixed of her problem.

"Now I want you to think of you turning a light on and off, just keep thinking about that as that will work as your trigger to activate your eyes as you can never get rid of them, but this will let you turn them on and off at will alright?" I say as I get her to nod.

"Alright, I will begin, now no matter what happens, just keep thinking of that trigger and never open your eyes, if you try to fight it there's a high chance you will go blind forever so just grit your teeth and deal with it." This is a risky process massing with another's magic circuits and even with King Solomons Knowledge the possibility of sever damage isn't low if she messes it up.

It shakes her but she nods and grits her teeth before the others see lines appear on my hands as the lines go through her hands and into her head.

When it began she began to shake as tears came down from her eyes as she felt a burning pain over come her eyes as she just kept thinking of turning a light on and off in her head.

Luckily her circuits weren't that complicated as there were only 4, two for her eyes and two for her ears, when active she can see and hear them, when off she can't see or here them.

"Now keep in sink with me as your turn the light on and off in your head, ready? On, off, on, off, on, off, on, off…" I kept going with her as I started to work on her circuits as she was gaining control over them as she kept activating her trigger.

As I kept telling her I could feel her circuits getting more and more in sync with what I said until finally it was turning on and off on command, "Now keep turning it on and off." I say as I watched her circuits begin to turn on and off without my words, seeing that I began to pull my circuits away from my hands before I finally finished my mission.

I then pulled away my hands and smiled, "Congratulations Miko, you now have full control of your sight." I say as she pulls her hands away to reveal her watery and a bit bloodshot eyes, but what was obvious was that the glow in her eyes was gone.
