Close Encounter

I close the door behind Smith with a smile, turn and sigh.

"Darling," Miia says standing in the hallway, her hair casting a shadow over her eyes.

"Miia?" I swallow.

"Darling, you idiot!" She sniffles and wipes her eye. "How could you flirt with another woman?"

I walk up to her and hug her.

"Why don't you take her shopping?" She adjusts the shoe on her foot with her finger, aware of my eyes on her. "Show her around a bit. Just don't take her around a love hotel."

"Tee-hee." She winks at me as she leaves. "Be seeing you."

"Shop me bankrupt?" I laugh. "Let's take you shopping."

"Huh?" She pauses, her devil-like appearance returning to her normal appearance.

Placing my hand on her head, I rise.

"I'm not," she says as if in a daze.
