Che Huan heard the voice, removed her fingers, and looked up with reddened eyes at Huo Bei.

Huo Bei saw this and his expression subtly changed.

Che Huan ignored him and sat rubbing her sore feet.

Huo Bei stood to one side, lost in thought, until Huo Jinnan asked "Where is she" for the second time. He then snapped back to reality and lowered his voice, "On the road, Miss Che refuses to get in the car."

Huo Bei responded, handing the mobile phone to Che Huan, "Miss Che, it's the gentleman's call."

Che Huan glanced at it but didn't take it, stood up, and continued walking.

Huo Bei watched her figure, picked up the phone, "Sir, Miss Che won't take the call."

As soon as he finished speaking, the call was hung up.

Some fifteen minutes later, a white Porsche drove by, passing the black Bentley, wheeled around to the front, and stopped directly across the road, blocking Che Huan's way.
