A Private Word

It was quite cold, nearing midnight. Two figures sat under a tall tree staring afar at the inn, with blankets around each of their bodies.

The cold wind blew harshly and Rosalie slightly shuddered, even with the thick blanket protecting her skin from the tremors the wind offered.

Seeing this, Verenita chuckled. "You must be pretty sensitive."

"Yeah, I am." Rosalie replied with a smile.

They've been sitting out there for a while now, reluctant to go in even though it was clear that it would soon be midnight.

"You should rest, you know. You must be tired from that, and all." Verenita waved her hand about as she tried to illustrate.

Rosalie giggled. "I know that, but I don't feel like it. I just haven't waned out yet."

"I see." She mused. "Tough but soft." She finalized with a small laugh.
