Chapter 49: Fighting time

"It really doesn't matter, I was a natural born fighter so it makes sense that i was proficient at fighting," Leo says.

"When can I begin training in cultivation or martial arts?" Marcella asks.

"Oh follow me," Leo says as he leads them to an area that is full of weapons." Choose a weapon," Leo says to Marcella.

She walks around and looks at all the weapons before one of the weapons stands out to her. She looks at them for three seconds before picking them up and swinging them.

Her weapon of choice is a dual-bladed sword.

"What a surprise!" Leo exclaims as he picks up a pair of wooden swords and tells Marcella to follow him back to the center. She follows him and they stand on opposite sides of each other.

"Ok, let's go, you will fight me this time," Leo says.

"But you have wooded swords, I have full metal or whatever this material is, swords," she says.

Leo says. With a smile " you won't leave a scratch on these wooded swords,"

"Ok sure lets go than," Marcella says.

Marcella rushes him and swings one blade downwards and the other horizontally, but Leo blocks them with his swords. Marcella jumps back before rushing Leo again attempting a kick before using her blade to attack Leo. Leo simply stopped all of her attacks before flicking her on the head. She backs up and rubs her head.

"What's going on? Why can't I hit?" Marcella asks.

"Use your brain if you want to win this fight, otherwise I'll begin to overwhelm you," Leo says.

"Ok, let's think about it. He uses the most effective countermeasure every time I attack. Either he blocks or parries, then hits me on the head. When I get hit, it means I have died. "Hmm, lets try this," Marcella thinks to herself.

Marcella runs at Leo again but this time throws one of her swords and follows up with a piercing attack with her other sword. "Leo just smiles and gets into a stance. Leo throws up one of his blades and catches Marcella's sword and then launches both of the swords in his hands at her. She dodges both of the swords and continues her attack.

He then switched over to dodge her sword attack, he grabbed her arm, and puts his leg in front of her to make her fall. He then disarmed her and flicks her on the head. The swords he through up lands right next to him.

"Why just why can't i get a hit?" Marcella cries out.

"Because i am just that skilled no i am joking, I have way more battle experience and have trained my whole life in mastering different weapons," Leo says.

"Ok, use the worst weapon you have, and fight me," says Marcella.

As Leo enters the room filled with weapons and walks out with a scythe, he replies, "Fine, I'll use it its one of my favorites."

"How is that one of the worst weapons," Marcella says.

"Most people don't know but the curve on the blade make it really hard to cut someone because of its curve you can scrape them or make a deep gash but nothing to serious so you need the right angle to actually use this weapon which makes it one of the worst and one of the best weapon to use because it is fun," Leo says.

Marcella gets up and goes to her side of the training area.

"Ok lets go again," Marcella says with a smile

"Ok come at me," Leo says with a happy face.

Marcella rush at him and swing both her blades downwards which to her surprise Leo blocks with the blade of the scythe. Leo moves his body to the side and turning the scythe around to smack Marcella in the face.

"Ow," she cries out.

Leo walk back to his original spot and stand there Marcella get up and attack Leo again and again getting knocked down every time she started doing desperate attacks trying to get a hit on Leo but it as not working.

"Didn't i say use your brain my lord is it that hard," Leo says in a sad tone.

Marcella gets up again and stop and thinks

'What are the disadvantages of that weapon… i don't know the only real thing is that to get a good attack the person has to be close to you. but that doesn't matter Leo uses that weapon like an arm or leg. he can attack and defend so easy.

'Let try this," Marcella think to herself.

She get into a sword stance and close her eyes a black Aura surrounds her and she disappears. She reappears behind Leo but he already knows she is there he jumps to the side while swing the scythe at her neck. which she blocks just in time. Leo swings downwards aiming for her shoulder. she jumps out of the way which Leo expected he rushes in close to her. he reduced the length of the scythe. swing it around in circle around his body. Marcella throws one of her swords.which Leo just dodges by spinning out of the ways. he dash forwards and hits her on the head again ending the fight.

"Dead again but that was good you Finally made progress," Leo says with a smile as he hit the scythe on the ground.

"What progress did i make i got beat gain my body hurt and i feel like i never land a hit,"

Marcella says.

Leo says a warm smile of reinsurance. "Don't worry about landing a hit just worry about getting better and strengthening your current capabilities before anything else or you will end up suffering because of it,"

"Ok Leo i will. Can we go again?," Marcella asks in a nice tone.

"No let take a break before your body give up on you," Leo replies back with a calm and nice tone. Patting her head as he walks away.
